Avon - any good?

Just that really - is it any good and does anyone have any experience of either their skincare (thinking specifically about their more high-end face creams) or makeup?
I've seen their new cleansing oil which is mineral oil free and only £3. Their eye pencils look great (they compare them to Bobbi Brown) and the make up brushes look bargainous too. I'm hoping I've rediscovered some good quality, cruelty free and good value skin stuff. Tell me if I'm right!

They have been around for ages, you can guarantee their quality and the prices are decent. Its worth a go.

Their nail polish and lipsticks are very good as are their perfumes and their matching body lotions.

I don't rate some other items but Skin So Soft is excellent.

I also really like their bust gel! I was not so impressed with their skincare ranges though but that may be just me.

Well I guess everybody has different preferences for skincare but I love their radiance moisturiser which is in a cheaper range - about £4. There is a lovely body lotion with self-tan and it's spf too (7in1) which I won't do without. Some of the perfumes smell lovely but I'd say don't last as well as expensive brands. I like their nail polish too - lasts ok, I always find my expensive ones chip just as quickly so might as well use the cheaper.

I'm a lipstick addict, and I have to say... they were handing out samples on the high street a few months ago, and when I got home after an entire afternoon of grocery shopping/having coffee/chasing a toddler round the park my lipstick was still on when I got home. I'd consider buying it.

Their face creams are decent, tbh. I'd put them on par with nivea or garnier. Mid priced, nice smelling but work well (I've never paid over £8 for a face cream). I tend to stick to their perfumes (cheap and cheerful, I can't wear Shalimar all the time), deodorants and skin so soft (it smells vile, but nothing is as more effective at repelling mosquitos, tbh- there's a reason why they sell them at campsites).

The glimmerstick eyeliners are great

I was going to mention Glimmerstick eyeliners too - my favourite one was on offer at £1.99 in the last book I had.
The perfumes are good value too.
