Can you help me to get Curly Girl to work for me please?

Hi. My hair is naturally wavy rather than curly. I love the look of curls though, so I've been reading up on here about the Curly Girl method.

I tried it on my day off. I left my hair to dry naturally and it looked great. However, took ages to dry and I just haven't got the time to let it dry on a work morning. I have to wash my hair every day because otherwise it looks and feels greasy.

So, my question is whether there's a way of doing Curly Girl but blow drying? I know you're not meant to, but I can't get up at 5am to leave my hair to dry naturally! What do you do, if you have to wash your hair every day?

I tried blow drying it but it went a bit frizzy. I suppose I could wash it at nights but it always looks greasy in the mornings. I can't sleep with it up in a pineapple because it's not long enough.

Please help! Smile

Do you have a diffuser? Think that might help 🙂

I have my own curly girl question- how do you know which shampoos and conditioners are silicone free if they don't explicitly say? I can't afford to spend much on products so would prefer something high street iyswim.

I've looked at the FB pages and it looks like my life will be taken up with doing my hair if I follow it fully 😂😂😂 when will I fit in my running?

Here is a list www.britishcurlies.co.uk/forums/topic/high-street-cg-products/

Sorry don't know if the link will work!

Most of my conditioners and stylers are cheapo ones, I have tried the expensive curly girl friendly brands but the cheaper ones work better for me. I blot my wet hair with a t shirt a bit before i put products on, otherwise my hair takes about 10 hours to dry! I can difuse in a rush but it doesn't turn out as well for me.

Forgot to say, I tend to wash mine in the evening and don't touch it at all until bedtime, leave in crunchy! Then try to pinapple as best I can, I use grips to hold up the short bits. In the morning, I take it down and scruch up with damp hands to loosen the crunch. Only use shampoo once a week if that, conditioner washing made a massive difference to my hair.

I diffuse mine Smile on low heat and speed. I don't use shampoo, only conditioner and wash every 3 days

Thank you that helps 🙂

SIlicone based ingredients end with "one", e.g. Dimethicone
