I can't get my perfect liquid eyeliner flick anymore! Please help!

I always use liquid eye liner and I have a steady hand as I have been doing it for years but my eyes are quite deep set and I think they are starting to sag a little?!? Any tips that could help make it look even please? Pulling the skin taut doesn't work as when it relaxes back to normal it isn't even?

Same thing happened to me. I decided that if I couldn't get it perfect then I'd change to pencil instead. Wobbly liquid liner looks awful.

Trouble is I can't find a pencil that lasts all day? I love the defined look of liquid liner.

I do a smaller, tighter flick than I used to. It still works, but only just. Hoping by the time I'm old enough for the sagging to be a bigger problem, I will no longer care. Grin

Same as you - suddenly a fecking wrinkle appeared where the flick used to go (I'm 36 FFS).

Posting in the hope of a solution!

I'm only 35 also vivienne! I don't have any wrinkles on my face but my eyes Are sagging!!!!

Yep. The day I realised that in order to achieve a lovely straight flick with my eyes open I'd have to draw a wiggly line was the day I hung up my liquid liner.

I now do a softer look with a wet brush and eyeshadow and draw a kind of vertical line up from the corner of my eye and flick out from the crease.

HoneyDragon · 23/07/2017 18:51

Same problem here, I got old.

Purplerainbow · 23/07/2017 19:03

I'm not ready for being old!!! Sad

Get a liner with a sponge type end and not a brush. A brush flails out if you know what I mean. I use 2 true frim Superdrug xx

Purplerainbow · 23/07/2017 19:16

I do use one of those first! Have never used the brushes as you say, they flick out on their own! I use the Rimmel one.

The one th8ng you could try is the sellotape trip. Stick a piece of sellotape where you want the flick to go.

Ollivander84 · 23/07/2017 19:20

Try on YouTube, if you search eyeliner hooded eyes a few good videos come up. I'll try and find the one I saw

Ollivander84 · 23/07/2017 19:24

Here. Basically you want it to look perfect when eyes are open so you have fudge/fake it a bit when they're shut!

I'm wondering if I need to change the length or thickness or where I'm getting the tip of my wing to point to? That video is good olliv but quite extreme for my day look but tomorrow I'll try the principles just down played a little... maybe I need to try a different liquid eye aswell. I like the one she uses but didn't catch the make but presumably American?

I can't get on with pen liners! I use maybelline gel liner and a zoeva slanted brush

Purplerainbow · 23/07/2017 20:38

Iv tried the maybelline gel with the brush.... didn't really like it although I can't remember why I just keep reverting back to the pen!

Give your eyelids additional treatment by using separate products in the morning and at night. The morning cream contains caffeine, collagen and a blend of antioxidants, vitamins and fruit extracts. It claims to smooth and tighten the skin around your eyes, as well as make your eyes appear brighter and reduce the look of dark circles. The night cream contains moisturizers to hydrate your skin and peptides to firm it and increase elasticity, which helps lift sagging eyelids. The cream also contains antioxidants and herbal extracts, which the company notes may protect your eyes against environmental damage that can make wrinkles and sagging look worse.

Purplerainbow · 23/07/2017 20:48
