This has been done to death, I'm sure but alternatives to Sally Hansen?

I used SH for the first time y'day and was reasonably pleased. It was very much, as it's described on the can tbf, a 'leg makeup' look. Covered spider veins, evened skin-tone and took the edge off my blindingly pasty legs.

But it's a bit flat compared to self-tan (which I loathe and can never get right) and did make my legs look just a teesny fraction too much like I was wearing matte tights - not a look I particularly like, though it was much better than getting my legs out un-tanned and entirely nude.

What have other very very VERY pale people found a better alternative? I used Sally Hansen in Light Glow. Colour wasn't too bad and certainly less orange than most fake tans look on me.

It's really only instant tans I'd like to learn more about; I've honestly had my fill of fake tans and have tried half a bazillion of them with results from embarrassing to sort-of-OK-if-you're-only-going-out-at-dusk-and-nobody-notices-the-patchy-bits-at-the-back. Blush Also I don't get my legs out often enough to really need 3 or 4 days of tan, plus I'm never organised enough to do it the night before. Instant seems the way to go now!

Thanks very much in advance.

I have olive-ish skin but use the SH when I've bruised my legs and need to wear a cocktail dress. I just lightly mist a dry oil body spray over the top which takes off the matte effect (be sure to let it dry/soak in properly before begin dressed as until it dries it is very transferable), and then if I want too be sure it won't transfer I spray my legs with hairspray. It works brilliantly for me Smile

I'm super pale and the BodyShop honey bronze one seems to work well for me- I don't think it would cover thread veins etc. though- just makes my legs look less like uncooked sausages!

Ordered some Vita Liberata Body blur from M&S (20%off) - will report back when it arrives !

I've used cheap foundation in the past.

It works well.

This Works Perfect Legs Skin Miracle is good. Quite a subtle colour but evens everything out. I use it on my arms too sometimes too. It's expensive but you only use a little bit so it's lasted me ages.

Overuse of 'too', sorry! I haven't noticed that it's transferred at all. A cheaper option is the Rimmel leg one, which was fine. MAC Face and Body evens out skin tone brilliantly and I guess you could get a darker shade to add colour.

Vita liberate body blur on legs, let it dry the. Put the nuxe shimmer oil on over the top.
