If you like the ordinary but don't want to carry all the little bottles on holiday....

I have really sorted my skin out using The Ordinary but am off on holiday travelling around North America for 3 weeks and would like something a bit more low maintenance than the multiple steps that I am currently doing (buffet, hyrulonic, niacimide and magnesium plus sunscreen then moisturiser). I have the M and S sleep cream for night, which is great but was wondering what to get for the day. Was thinking of something which multi tasks - ideally, anti aging, blurring so that I don't need to wear much make up. Could have SPF or not as I use a factor 50 on my face anyway. I am 42 with sensitive combination skin, open pores, fine lines, dark circles and can be prone to break outs so avoid shea and other triggers, was looking at L'Oréal Magiblur but not sure....

Any recommendations?

Don't blurring products mostly contain silicones? They break me out something chronic. I'd avoid if I was spot-prone.

Thanks Nom - that was what I wondered. Really not sure what to go for- need a fairly decent moisturiser that doesn't cost a fortune. Maybe one of the La Roche Posay or Vichy might be safe?

I really like the Sarah Chapman Age Repair serum. Not cheap at about £50 but lightweight, doesn't break me out, gives great glow and contains antioxidants without the clog factor. Plus it comes in a travel friendly airtight pump.

The new Clinique hyaluronic serum is supposed to be good too. I tried it instore, found it a tad sticky but under moisturiser/ sunscreen or make up, it'd be good. I'm pretty sure it contains antioxidants too (I think that's what the 'bubbles' in it are).

I used to love the Vichy hyaluronic serum can't remember the name, but it was quite fragranced. Don't think it had antioxidants in it either. Their new one, mineral 89 (?) might be worth checking out though?

I'd just take the buffet - the rest you could probably live without. You'll need sunscreen anyway but might be able to make do with a small travel size tube of cheap and cheerful moisturiser.

I took a tube of the Boots number 7 serum (the pink one) on holiday with me to replace my Ordinary regime.
