Dropped NARS blusher ARGH

As title says, my lovely (expensive) blusher is all fragmented and gone to pink dust in its holder.

Is it repairable or do I cut my losses and buy another? It's just about useable as is but I get loads on my brush and it goes everywhere too.

You tube have loads of videos on how to fix this .

Oh crap! Could you crush further and decant into a powder dispenser?

I have powder foundation and it has a sieve-like lid on it to control how much comes out - it's the Lily Lolo samples £1.50

Make up counters might have them too

I've seen people using rubbing alcohol (you might want to double check that) by adding a few drops so that it turns to a thick paste, and then smoothing it over and letting the alcohol evaporate, seems to do the trick :)

CaptainWarbeck · 16/07/2017 09:57

What is rubbing alcohol? I know I could youtube fixes but wanted to know if there were any recommendations of things that actually worked.

You can buy them on eBay. I found mine when looking for bare minerals foundation.

The rubbing alcohol thing works. Available on Amazon

curragh · 16/07/2017 10:43

You can vodka either

bluebiro · 16/07/2017 11:00

I've used surgical spirit before to fix a blusher and it worked well (think it's the same as what they call rubbing alcohol in the US). You can get it pretty cheaply from e.g. Boots. It will smell a bit hospital-y for a while but it will eventually wear off.

surgical spirit also cleans the stickiness off the nars containers too
