Black t shirts

I pretty much live in plain black, scoop neck t shirts. I thought I'd struck gold with some M&S supima cotton ones, but the necklines have gone baggy after just a couple of washes.

Does anybody wear the Jigsaw pima ones? Are they worth the price? Or can anybody recommend any other good ones. Not H&M/Primark/Sainsburys etc - I want ones that will last. White Company maybe?

Boden?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2017 15:39

Sorry - ideally from a real life shop.

Uniqlo?

thecatfromjapan · 15/07/2017 15:42

American Vintage. The label should be in a big department store near you, or you can try googling to see the nearest stockists. Very flattering shape, cut, material. Don't seem to lose their shape.

I bought one by accident a few years ago, turned out to be the.best.t-shirt.ever. and now I'm hooked.

H & M have some. Wash ok. I've had GAP ones in the past that have been ok but some have been rubbish- sorry not helpful!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2017 15:50

I've got lots of the H&M ones but have fallen out of love with them. I find them v clingy.

Hate Gap tees.
American Vintage ones are too thin and don't suit me - not sure why.

Anybody got one of these v neck ones?

Or the All sains silk mix ones?

The all saints silk mix are beautiful, the drape is fantastic but you have to be very careful washing and drying them to avoid holes as the fabric is very fine. I have a few vests and tshirts from there and they are good, but I tend to buy in the sale.

ZaraW · 15/07/2017 15:57

I got one from Comptoir des Conniteurs sale.

boggedoff · 15/07/2017 15:58

Uniqlo are pretty good too

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2017 16:00

I'll try the All Saints one on. Thanks.

Cos maybe?

I love the thin material! Grin

Have you had a look in Massimo Dutti?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2017 16:01

Will also try the Jigsaw ones - do they keep their shape?

Jigsaw ones have a lovely neckline that lies flat and actually fit neatly on my shoulders. And the seams match up when you iron them! For me, that alone makes them worth the money. They are not clingy but not drapey either so, like most t shirts, not super forgiving.

BestIsWest · 15/07/2017 16:47

No, don't tell me that Remus. I've only washed mine once and it was ok. That's disappointing.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2017 18:59

I still like them, Best, but they've definitely gone wider and baggier on the neckline. :(

Secret - I'll definitely give the Jigsaw ones a try. I have quite narrow shoulders, and it sounds as if they might work for those.

I second the All Saints ones. Very nice drape to the fabric.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/07/2017 22:16

Thanks - will definitely go and check them out. Cos look as if they have a couple of contenders too.

I live in plain, black shirts too. I get mine from Big W, an inexpensive store here in Australia.

Uniqlo
