Help me put together a transitional 'capsule' wardrobe while I lose weight

I've lost 1.5 stone recently, with another 3.5 to go (so not actually nearly where I want to be yet). Late 50s. 36K norks which as yet have not reduced anyAngry. I think because of the chest, I will still be an 18 on top, although probably a 16 on the bottom.

I'd hoped to get away with one wardrobe restock, when I was perhaps half way, but my trousers actually fell down while chasing the dog on the beach earlier this week, dragging my knickers with them, so some intervention is required.

Because of an accident and subsequent major surgery on my leg, ankle and foot, the most exciting things I can wear on my feet are fitflop Mary Janes or Oxfords and/or trainers, so a new wardrobe needs to be based around my footwear.

I like a smart/casual look, work from home in a fairly creative role so even client meetings don't require a corporate look. I can spend about £500, although less is obviously good, but I promised myself Id aim to look good at every size, so I've put money aside to do this. I don't need shoes, bags or bras but everything else is too large. Ideally I'd like clothes to be forgiving enough to take me through at least another 1.5 stone of weight loss, which should take me into winter clothing in late autumn.

Can you help me spend this wisely, with some ideas where I could look. I've looked at uniglo but I suspect they are still on the small side, and are more likely to work for my next restock.

Have you had a look at Bravissimo? Specifically designed for those of us who are plentifully benorked, so the size is more in tune with shoulder/waist sizes. I have several faux-wrap tops from them, not too dear and launder well.

I am similar age and stage of weight loss and am currently relying on loose fitting flowery trousers and some nicely shaped plain coloured tops

Get something with a drawstring waist to avoid any more beach accidents.
Take advantage of the sales. These trousers come up massive, I am a 10/12 and the small is fine.

Hmm. Have never really had any luck with bravissimo for clothing, although I buy all my bras and swimwear from them. Should maybe try again now my waist is smaller. Inebriated, that's kinda where I've ended up this afternoon - bought a few pairs of harem trousers from next in navy and black. They don't look great with trainers as my damaged foot likes a sock on it but they certainly are fine if it's dry enough (it rarely is, here!!) for slip on Skechers or the like. Tops are still a problem. I have some Boden ravellos which are really too big but have had some shaping put in through the waist and they might see me through a few more weeks.
