I had laser treatment on some thread veins last Thursday. The beautician couldn't find my previous notes so I had to fill in another form I asked if I would still get my half hour appt. time and she was non commital (I had been advised on phone it was half an hour) then asked if I was in a rush so I said, no just wanted to ensure I had my time given I had to refill all the forms. When I lay down, she started asked about Rosceaca which I clearly don't have. She didn't seem to know why I was there. I explained I had some done last August but some had come back so I wanted them treated.
She then said something about areas and I pointed out areas I was most concerned on my face . However, being white Irish, I'm pretty much a roadmap of veins. I said if we were to do my legs, it would take all day and she laughed.
The treatment was very very painful, tears were coming out of my eyes, I was digging my nails into my hand and my body jerked when she put the laser to my skin. I said 'its very painful'. It wasn't like this the first time I had it done, which still painful but bearable. This was excruciating. She did not adjust the levels, just carried on.
After about ten minutes she said that's enough for today, went to get some cold gel packs. She asked if I wanted concealer so I said yes and she applied concealer to my chest area. That was it. I was pretty much bundled out of the room to pay and I expressed surprise at how short the session was compared to last time and she said, you didn't mention any other areas. Well, I had and she never enquired further! The previous time the lady had finished my main concerns and she asked where else and we did a few on my legs.
For £75, I don't feel like I got my money's worth. What with the form filling and faffing around, I had paid before the 30 minutes were even up. I had no advice about after care. When I got home, I had a big patch of skin coloured concealer on my very white chest, I looked almost comical but was very embarrassed I had been walking around like that. Some green concealer would have made more sense.
That afternoon, the sites of treatment started weeping and I put anti-septic cream on. They continued to weep into the evening and then crusted over. Nearly a week on, I still have unsightly scabs on three sites and a generalised redness around the crust.
So, very little was done for £75 and I had no advice about after care at all. I could have phoned up the place and asked but by the time the weeping was in full force, the place was closed.
I feel mutilated akin to having had cigarette buts placed against my skin, the area is still tender to touch.

Does this sound normal?
