It would be a huge help! Would professional threading be better?

Definitely threading. Or waxing if there is somewhere good locally. I am quite envious - they are lovely and dark and thick and will look stunning once they are shaped.

TurquoiseOwl · 11/07/2017 19:32

Aw, thank you! A few months ago, I plucked a few of the strays and I figured I was probably going to just end up completely messing them up! So I've let them naturally grow out for a few months. They now look bloody awful!

Def recommend threading.
DD gets hers done in one of those threading bars in shopping centre.
Shaving I think.

aftersomeadvice1 · 11/07/2017 20:09

I agree with threading. They will look lovely once done. Put an after pic up for us to seeSmile

TurquoiseOwl · 11/07/2017 21:21

Thank you Smile just looked up a local place and they do threading for £4, isn't that too cheap?

Izzyislington · 11/07/2017 21:27

I pay £5-6 in a threading bar in North London

Sciurus83 · 11/07/2017 21:39

I find you get better shape paying a bit more in a salon or department store, the £5 places tend to be very quick and IME take a bit too much off, just my two cents

hugoagogo · 11/07/2017 21:41

Er they look fine Confused

humanfemale · 11/07/2017 21:42

I think your eyebrows look awesome! Make sure they don't take too much off because they already look great as they are. Maybe just a tiny tidy up?

Polkadot1974 · 11/07/2017 21:44

A tiny threading session will make them look lovely - need a pic. Groomed eyebrows lift a face totally

GhostCurry · 11/07/2017 22:39

Yes please don't let them take too much off. Personally I'd just comb some clear mascara through them and be off!

LockedOutOfMN · 11/07/2017 22:41

Also think they look great!

TurquoiseOwl · 11/07/2017 22:57

May look for a salon then, thank you! Definitely don't want too much off, as they start to look non-existent! Although, I think it is? They have waxing for all body hair, nails, etc.?

Thank you for saying they look fine, but I definitely feel like they look awful right now! I'm thinking a threading session to tidy them up then!

Do NOT get them threaded unless it's on a strong recommendation.

You need very few hairs removing and most salons over do it

TurquoiseOwl · 11/07/2017 23:05

@WillowWeeping - oh Sad what do you suggest??? Really want them to look tidy, but I'm crap at getting them even.

SesameSparkle · 11/07/2017 23:19

Yes to threading, you've got plenty to work with there so well done for letting them grow out. Try asking on Facebook for a local recommendation - that's how I found my eyebrow lady. Don't go on price alone, as it can vary wildly - I've paid between 5 and 20 in my town, and currently pay something in the middle.

WillowWeeping · 12/07/2017 07:49

Threading would be ok at a really good salon but lots of these pop up style eyebrow bars in stores/shopping centres adopt a one style fits all with inexperienced practitioners and threading is very difficult to do accurately if not an expert.

Choose a brow specialist and then they'll recommend an approach - I suspect most would tweeze the stragglers as there are so few and possibly clean up with a little wax

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/07/2017 07:51

I would hardly touch them tbh!

cheshire87 · 12/07/2017 08:00

HD brows.
Then assess the situation once they're in a decent shape.

Microblading may be worth exploring.

Easilyflattered · 12/07/2017 08:14

I do my own nails, colour my own hair, but I have to spend £10 a month on a threading and eyebrow tint. I just cannot do my own eyebrows at all and get them even, definitely recommend a £4 threading.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 12/07/2017 08:22

They don't look difficult to sort at home. Get your tweezers out!
Leave the half nearest your nose and just pluck the stray hairs on the outer, only pluck underneath and aim for a slight arch starting in line with the centre of your eye.

You would only have to remove a few hairs each side. A tiny dusting of a light brown/taupe eyebrow powder will fill in any gaps.

Ohyesiam · 12/07/2017 17:48

Talk to the beauty therapist and DL his many years they have been doing it. 5 years minimum for me. Also make sure the appointment time included plenty of time to chat about what you want.

Housewife2010 · 12/07/2017 17:52

See if there is a Blink Brow Bar near you. I've gone for a few years and they are excellent. I always stress that I want to keep my brows as thick as possible but want them tidy. I have had horrendous tweezing, waxing and threading sessions in the past so now I only trust Blink. It's £19 but worth it for an excellent job.

NoCapes · 12/07/2017 17:54

Ooooo I'd love to get my hands on them!!

TurquoiseOwl · 12/07/2017 20:21

I wouldn't say they're difficult to sort at home, but I'm terrible at getting a symmetrical shape... I have tried it before Grin always regretted it and swore I'd let them grow out. My sister says I look much better with my brows like this Confused as as soon as the strays are plucked, they look non-existent! Oh well, I really just want them tidy. I'll look into the suggestions, thank you.
