In praise of Nip&Fab glycolic pads...

I hardly ever post a glowing review about a product online as I'm rarely that impressed, but my goodness these things have made an extraordinary difference to my skin!

I bought the night version and have been using them 3 x a week. In the two months I've been using them my skin has become a lot less oily (I previously had to re-apply powder several times a day and now I hardly ever bother) and the breakouts I was experiencing on my chin around the time of my period, which I thought were hormonal and impossible to do anything about, have stopped entirely.

Top product and thoroughly recommend!!

Yes, I've used a whole tub, replaced with the dragon blood one, but now just gone back, so much better for spots.

I bought them after seeing them recommended on here and hated them! They left a horrible film on my skin.

Pestilentialone · 08/07/2017 20:35

They help the chin hairs regrow without ingrowing. Grin Only need to use them once or twice a week. Buzz I also find they sometimes feel like they leave a film, just rinse your face after 10 mins.

Yep. This. 😳

I love them! Had a funny couple of years with a baby, illness and new pill, all of which play havoc with my skin normally, and actually it's been fine throughout.

Tatlerer · 08/07/2017 20:45

That's interesting buzz. As I use the night ones then whack moisturiser on straight afterwards I've not noticed the film.

Glycolic is great for preventing ingrowing hairs on legs, bikini etc (and those annoying hairs that remain just under the skin so you can't get them with the epilator). It can make you a bit photosensitive though. Last sunburn I got was when I had been using glycolic cream on my face.

Gingernaut · 08/07/2017 21:25

The instructions do include the photosensitivity warning.

Or at least the instruction to use spf.

For cheap but good I really really rate this

And the same brand of targeted spot gel. Couldn't believe the difference it made when I suddenly started getting spots out of the blue.

So glad this has come up! My mum had tried them at Christmas time but had never said much about them - decided to buy some more before her birthday on Wednesday for her and I hope she likes them! (Yes I know it probably sounds like a bad present - but she's got other bits too, I promise!)
