Who would you all say the target market is for HUSH?

Women,
early 30's - mid/late 40's
Not too worried about fashion but like to look 'pulled together'
Fairly casual
Probably middle class "yummy mummies"

Boden refugees

I am most of the above/below (whichever way you have the threads set up). I wouldn't use the 'yummy mummy' (though I just did, twice Hmm). Was a Boden shopper 6/10 years ago when the prices were ok and the manufacture was good, select plain, well cut stuff in classic shapes. Now it seems to be astronomical prices with a few decent bits and bobs but mostly frumpsville in weird fabrics.

Why? Does it matter?

sowhatusernameisnttaken · 05/07/2017 15:14

Urgh, there's always one on these threads. No, no it doesn't in the scheme of the world but I'm asking because I have time on my hands and I'm interested. Is that ok?

35 Utd old pharmacist. No joke I know several who love Hush. So someone on good income mid thirties.

Theconifers25 · 05/07/2017 20:04

Should say 35 year old, not Utd?!?!

I bought a dress from them last year after I saw a friend wearing it. I'm 42 and like to think of myself as still into fashion! It was the colour that really stood out for me - this amazing bright red. I keep trawling through to see if they have any other dresses in this red (as with a lot of jersey it's gone a bit shapeless and isn't very flattering now) but there's nothing I think would suit me. Some of it is a bit too flowy for me and I think you need to have fewer lumps and bumps than I do for the clingy jersey dresses. My dress came with a little magazine and for a while I told everyone about it as it had an article about a woman, her husband and four kids who had gone travelling for over a year. I really liked reading her story. Anyway this doesn't particularly answer your question but I'm just musing about the brand and how I haven't found anything since I really like enough to try.

I first got to hear of Hush in my early thirties when I was googling for 'posh pyjamas and lounge wear'. At that time (6 years ago) it was very leggings and ugg boot with big sloppy jumpers type clothing. I was heavily pregnant at the time and wanted some good quality but pretty pyjamas to lounge around in post birth. I was amazed when I discovered mumsnet and realised how many people bought stuff from there. It's very much causal lounge wear in my opinion, never seen anything particularly stylish just expensive 'comfortable' clothing.

I was picturing a football loving pharmacist theConifers. Grin

Totally agree about Boden NomDePlume I used to spend hundreds in Boden but now struggle to find anything I like at all

I would agree - late 30s, petite with slim legs. Most of the reviews of the jeans I was reading last night seemed to feel the size 10 jeans were too baggy so they'd sized down to an 8. The dresses are mainly above the knee, although all the jumpers are huge, and I think you have to be pretty slender to get away with that 'formal jogger' look.
