Bronzer for idiots

Bronzer. What is it for? Would I benefit from using it? And if so, how do I use it?

I have dark greying hair, dark eyes and am fairly pale. I'm not one for tanning but neither do I especially shun the sun, so if I pick up any colour when out and about that's fine with me.

I just wonder if I had a marvellously and subtly bronzed face, wouldn't that look a bit odd against my normal coloured pasty neck?!

Any responses gratefully received!

You have to blend bronzer into the jawline and neck in my experience. But you need a good brush and don't be too heavy handed!

Its great for subtle contouring (I did this before I even knew that contouring was a thing) and adding a bit of colour.

I prefer bronzer to blusher as I'm fair skinned with naturally pink cheeks. Bronzer if applied well just adds a bit of a golden hue.

I use a bronzer that is basically the colour of me when I'm very tanned and more a cool tone than orange. I use a big soft brush, dust it over the pallet a couple of times and then apply in a '3' shape - start from the cheek, sweep round my eye to above my brow, back down to the cheek and then around my jaw bone to the side of my cheek. It's barely perceptible unless you're looking for it, I just look a bit less sallow and my cheekbones look more defined. Hope that helps!

And I tend to apply a very fine wash of blush on top just using a finger.
