How do I keep my arms warm at a wedding!

I have this dress for a wedding next week. But if it's a bit chilly, I don't know what I ought to have to cover my arms. I know shrugs are a no no, but what about a pashmina? Or large shawl/scarf? Or fitted jacket? Planning on wearing some pink wedge sandals I have. Thanks.

Beautiful dress, I'd go for a fitted, cropped Cardigan or jacket. TBH if I had a shrug or pashmina to go with it I wouldn't give a shit if it's a no-no, I'd rather be warm.

very fitted cardigan, probably cropped
a jacket will make you look the the Queen, or your mum, they're never fitted enough at the waist
(I was a bridesmaid recently and we HAD to wear pashmina/stole things - we wanted them tied behind to look like little boleros but they were too thick to knot. I bought plain buckles from a sewing shop and shoved the loose ends through - looked better)

Thanks - I think a fitted cardigan is the way to go. Just need to find one! Anyone come across one online? What colour?

Try Boden for good cropped cardigans. The 50's ones are nice and in the sale but limited sizes/colours left.

I have a white fitted blazer style jacket with ruched sleeves that I wore to a wedding with a similar dress. Dress was from Coast but, after a lot of searching for the right cut, the blazer was from primark- I sized down so it was quite fitted. Looked so much nicer than white cardis I've worn to weddings in the past.

20thcenturybitch · 30/06/2017 16:38

I assure you I looked nothing like the Queen Mum!

BumbleNova · 30/06/2017 16:41

Yup - i agree about a jacket. much less frumpy than a cardigan.

PrincessWatermelon · 30/06/2017 18:46

Having looked at some cardis, I agree that it could tend to frumpiness. I have left this way too late! Have a week before we leave, but working most of it, so will have to be online searching.

I like the sound of a Primark one...Smile

I wore this same dress to a wedding last month and struggled with what to wear with it. I found a paschmina style scarf in M&S in a rose pink colour which matched the dress well
