Smart dress I can breastfeed in - for a wedding.

Any suggestions? Would like to avoid a clingy wrap dress.

I have one in this style but a different pattern. I wore it to a wedding a couple of years ago and breastfed in it. It's stretchy so the neckline moves to feed and the rushing hides my tummy a bit.

Style looks really good but the colours are a bit drab. Sure yours is a nicer pattern.

Have a look at the website as they usually do a few patterns in that style. Do you prefer something bolder?

Yumi have lots of wrap dresses which aren't clingy.

There's a Facebook group called Can I breastfeed in it? which might be useful.

Go for a two piece co-ord instead of a dress.

Separates much easier for feeding.

Yes, I know, you're right. Separates are going to be easier. Just miss dresses sometimes!

Ideally, what would you wear? Colour, style, length etc?

Not sure if they would be smart enough but apricot have got some nice v neck maxi dresses and the neckline is sort of elasticated so very easy to feed in. An alternative would be a maternity dress (but a size down) these are often nursing dresses too, I had one off asos will have a look now

This. I wore it to a wedding at 35 weeks' pregnant, had lots of compliments and I'm sure it looks fab even when you're not pregnant. The website says it doubles as a nursing dress and it comes in lots of colours. It's easy to dress it up even more with the right accessories.

Was just coming on to say seraphine, i have worn lots of their dresses for pregnancy and breastfeeding, lots of nice colours too. Sorry can't link from phone but I have a blue floaty one which you can bf in really discreetly and looks fab.

Why are so many nursing dresses also maternity? Virtually nobody (barring some very dedicated mamas) does both at the same time! I don't understand it.

I did join "Can I breastfeed in it?". It's a great idea but the traffic is ferocious. My entire Facebook feed was jammed with it, hundreds of posts a day! I hid it but should probably take another look...

I just wanted to say thanks for all the suggestions on here - I might order the Seraphine one for an upcoming wedding.

iseehotpeople - the idea of nursing / maternity dresses is that you get more for your money! Good marketing plan!
