Breastfeeding friendly outfits for warm weather

Tis somewhat toasty in the south as I am sure most of you are aware. I am also hyperthyroid so toasty tastic.

I usually wear nice shift dresses in natural fabrics in summer as I tend to feel comfortable yet not a total mess in them but this summer I have a ebf just turned 4mth old so need to be able to access the boobs in the daytime. My previous trick of vest top under normal top - top up/vest down- isn't working as that is just too many layers for this weather. The bfing dresses are hideous affairs with multiple layers and peepholes and I feel like I look lumpy and unattractive and feel much hotter in separates.

Any ideas for stuff that looks smartish / put together but is still bf friendly?

I'm in exactly same boat over here, 5month old & done vest top under thing but agree far too hot for that now!
I've got a few lightweight shirt dresses which were fine until the heat went up even higher here this week. Was doing midi skirt and vest top as only thing I didn't melt in. I'm off shopping tmoz and am after a linen or similar playsuit or cropped jumpsuit with buttons and maybe a bandeau maxi dress?! Was thinking I could just pull down :)
Other than forking out for faffy nursing dresses that's all I can think of for now, maybe someone else will come along with more ideas for us! Smile

Shirt dresses and buttoned shirts are your friend - in fact I wore again today a most lovely linen dress (Cynthia Rowley from TKMaxx) that buttons down the front, which I bought exactly 7 years ago so I could feed then-tiny ds and still look respectable at Henley.

*buttoned shifts

Uniqlo buttoned playsuit : www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/women-silk-touch-button-up-v-neck-playsuit-196033.html

I just posted three dresses on another thread which are regular dresses but which you can get your boobs out of!

The one from Other Stories is the best - nice and cool and has a hidden popper on the front! Here it is;

I like the look of the jumpsuit but have never ordered from Uniqlo. What's the sizing like - am a curvy size 10. Do I need an S or M?

Much more practical than a dress for chasing my toddler round the park with a baby on my arm!

SIL is EBF At the minute, she's wearing shirts and shirt dresses, buttons or zips down the front. Xx

I'm just wearing normal vest tops and shoving a big muslin over my shoulder if there are people in the immediate vicinity.

Strappy vest tops all the way, with a floaty top over if you wish. If you buy the really cheap stretchy ones they can be pulled down for feeding or pulled up. I think I wore strappy vests through my whole breastfeeding of 3 kids.

If curvy you'll need a uniqlo M - I am a small-chested 8 and wear a small

Thanks badger! Have been meaning to do a Uniqlo order for ages so will use this as an excuse! The heatwave clearly requires a jumpsuit!
