This dress would suit me, I love it, I would wear it for years, but it costs rather a lot

Enid - step this way

EnidsFuglyDress · 21/03/2007 12:33

Enid

Concentrate now

Look me in the eye

Nobody, but nobody would look good in that

it looks like a potato sack in sequins with a big tumour on the neckline

Enid · 21/03/2007 12:34

oh.

ok.

hmmm not altogether sure

there are som fabulous dresses on there though - love the fendi cross front dress and the orange aquascutum one

style mag featured the matthew williamson beaded one last week

LazyLine · 21/03/2007 12:37

What circles do you run in that would mean you would get loads of wear out of that circus tent?

mumto3girls · 21/03/2007 12:38

This thread eminds me of the story of the emperors new clothes.....

filthymindedvixen · 21/03/2007 12:40

it's not outlandish in a Good Way dear lady. It really isn't. It's outlandish in a ''oh bless old Missus Enid, 84 you know and she dyes her hair blue to match the hideously frumpy sequinned sack she always wears to the Silver Surfers Annual Wurlitzer Organ recital and Bunfight. What a game old bird she is, bless''

Trust me, you can buy a lot more flattering stuff for £4,000

Tutter · 21/03/2007 12:41

but isn't that the point of high end fashion? that not everyone will love it i mnea. if you wanted a plain black dress you go to marks. if you want something possibly fabulous (poss considered fugly by many) - and oif your pockets are deep enough - you go to browns or matches

LilRedWG · 21/03/2007 12:42

Who knew polyester could cost so much!

Swizzler · 21/03/2007 12:48

But there are some nice Marc Jacobs dresses on here for a fraction of the price: like this

mumto3girls · 21/03/2007 12:52

yuk yuk yuk.....If i £4000 i can honestly say i would happily pay it NOT to wear that sequin dress

In fact if you want to spend £4000 on something that makes you feel fantastic ..give the money to Comic Relief of Children in Need.

nogoes · 21/03/2007 12:53

Lol MFV. I thought the dress was okish until I read that.

Tutter · 21/03/2007 12:54

oh not this again mumto3f=girls

what business is it of yours what money others spend on dresses or give to charity

i do both, in large sums, and would not expect to be challenged on either

Twiglett · 21/03/2007 12:56

no, no Tutter .. mouses are poor .. stop posting about rich things or I won't be able to think of you the same way

Tutter · 21/03/2007 12:57

mumto3girls · 21/03/2007 13:02

Twiglett - it isn't my business and I didn't challenge..it was only my suggestion which for some reason is obviously far more violently repulsive to you than any of the hideous dresses on this thread...

Get a sense of humour

Twiglett · 21/03/2007 13:03

mumto3girls .. twasn't me .. twas the blue mouse ..

.. always get blamed for everything me

mumto3girls · 21/03/2007 13:05

Many apologies Twiglett..yes it was Tutter I was replying to. Sorry - not in the best frame of mind to deal with hostility right now...
