The Clinique TTDO balm is cheaper but unscented. Waitrose Pure (in a tube) is £5 and similar in consistency except it's grainy so more exfoliating.

I've been pleased with Body Shop camomile cleansing balm, it is a good consistency and gentle.

The body shop camomile balm is amazing. I've been using it for years and it makes my doublewear foundation just melt away with zero effort. I find it works best with their soft face cloth-it's almost like a really thin sponge, the kind that go hard when they dry.

Thank you everyone, will check these out :)

Merumaya cleansing balm (own website or Amazon) is great. It has a pleasant scent, is in a tube (better for travelling & hygienic). Slightly runnier consistency than the Clinique balm. Very satisfying.

Second Clinique TTDOB, fantastic for reactive and sensitive skins - basically lard in a jar.

Not answering your question but I have found that the Elemis cleansing balm lasts me just about a whole year and I use it daily. So I think its quite a good price if you work it out over the year (but obviously you have to cough up the dough first!)

Another vote for Merumaya via Amazon. It's lovely.

Another vote for the body shop one. Great if you have dry skin

Thanks again :)

Another one saying go for the Body Shop camomile range. I really like the silky camomile cleansing oil, rather than the balm. The oil turns to a milk when you wash it off, so it doesn't leave any residue. It's also great at shifting waterproof mascara without you having to use a separate eye makeup remover.

I'd go for the BS one any day - even over the Emma Hardie balm, which I didn't rate at all (too perfumed for my taste). I live in fear of them discontinuing it. You'd be prising the last of their stock out of my cold dead hands Grin

That's good news that you all (most of you) rate Body Shop as I recently bought it! However I have to use up Elemis and some Liz Earle stuff first.
