wide fitting, comfortable, sandals or sandal type shoes

Is there such a thing?

I have really round wide feet so often go up a size (or even more) in closed toe shoes, but obviously this looks ridiculous in open toed shoes.

I'd like a pair of fairly smart sandals for work and non bare feet appropriate summer wear - does anyone know whether such things exist in a very wide fitting?

I haven't worn sandals in years because my toes are so far away from the end once I've gone up a length size to accommodate width.

Simply be have some nice wide fitting sandals, I got a pair of the majorcan/menorcan style leather ones. Very comfortable, there is usually a discount code for first orders.

Fitflop wobble boards come up nice and wide.

Evans do wide fitting shoes and they are big fitting. They always have lots of nice styles!

As a child I was an Hour and my mother used to refuse to allow me to go up a size and make me have the ugliest boys style which was the only style the local Clarke's carried in an Hour, because she could not compute shopping anywhere but Clarke's nor not slavishly adhering to their sizings. My feet had stopped growing by the time I was 11 so by 13 you'd have thought she'd have relented on the "growing feet must only be shod in Clarke's shoes" doctrine she'd swallowed as soon as she produced offspring. But no, Clark's 5H ugliest boys style shoes it was for me until my considerable stroppiness earned me responsibility for catching the bus to town and buying my own school shoes (in a style I liked in size 6 or a 7, not at Clarke's) :o

I'm irrationally reluctant to shop at Clarke's Blush :o

Sorry about the Clarke's rant Blush

I had to go to the big city today :o so went to a retailer that stocked Gabor and Birkenstock, but came away with Bama, which are (according to the branding) shoes which make you feel as though you are barefoot :o Some styles are available in G and H width fittings - I have some sort of dull silver ones which I'm very happy with and may not take off until September :o
