What to wear to dd graduation?

My dd is graduating in a few weeks. What do I wear? Where do I look? It's a really early in the morning event (9 am) and I've know idea how long and obviously no idea of the weather. I'm late 40s 5ft 4 and quite large boobs and pretty good legs. How do make sure I'm not embarrassing?

When my daughter graduated a few years ago there was a real mix of styles. Hers was an early evening event and some people wore very casual clothing and others like they were attending a royal garden party. I wore a floral dress with nude courts which was neither too dressy or too casual.
It also depends on the University, if it is Oxford or Cambridge then I would imagine more formal.
Pepperberry have some nice dresses at the moment. What about this

When I graduated (Durham - cathedral ceremony, relatively formal, Pimms in a tent, etc) My mum wore a knee length skirt and jacket in black with a cream trim. Like this but opposite. It was raining!

I wore a fairly smart dress to both DDs graduation ceremonies. The second one was a boiling hot day in London. That was slightly more casual regarding parental outfits but a dress worked at both. You are standing around a bit for drinks and chat so wear fairly comfortable shoes. I would avoid a scrappy sun dresss but you don't need to be wedding formal.

Ooh thanks everyone. I'd forgotten about Pepperberry which I know through long association with Bravissimo.

Ds graduated last year and his was a 9am ceremony. He had to wear a suit and tie with his gown over the top so I took my cue from that and wore a dress and heels. Dh wore a suit and tie. It was a cool but dry day with a lunch reception afterwards.

I work near the place where local graduation ceremonies happen. Most people are smartly dressed but definitely a notch or two down from wedding smart. They're also often very mixed and informal e.g. children in pushchairs and grandparents. It's always a nice atmosphere with everyone posing for photos and looking very proud.
