MAKEUP FOREVER HD POWDER :-) swear by it!

It's translucent so basically no colour; adapts to your own skin tone. Bit pricey but lasts ages

Interesting... I was wondering this morning as I was putting mine on whether people ( younger people) wore it still. I like bare minerals 😀

I recently started using Papier Poudre again, which I used to love aeons ago as a greasy teen.

I think there're three shades to choose from: translucent, light and dark, but it hardly matters as it's virtually invisible on the skin.

I like it for taking off excess oil and setting my foundation. I always get carried away with loose powder and end up cakey, but it's impossible to do that with these papers, which deposit the finest film of powder on the skin.

I keep a pack in my handbag to absorb oil and refresh my makeup midday. Love them!!

Rimmel match perfection. Lasts all day for me and 001 is transparent so colourless.

NYX HD powder - a perfect dupe for the MUFE one... Grin

@nksw Definitely NOT the perfect dupe... :-)

You need to keep the oil in check before applying any powder. I recommend Clinique
Pore Refining Solutions Stay Matte Hydrator. It works well for me but you may need to experiment to find a product that works best for you.

What I will say is that a mattifying primer is good if you don't have only skin as it sits on top of the skin. A mattifying moisturiser is better for oily skin because when applied to clean skin the moisturiser is absorbed into the skin and the pores are hydrated and don't need to produce more oil. This keeps the oil in check and the mattifying properties of the lotion prevent shine.

I don't know what JML Jerome Alexander mineral magic powder would be like on dark skin but I love it.

I am the same age and with a similar problem.

I use Benefit Porefesional as a primer before EL Doublewear and then EL powder over the top. It definitely stops any shine, but it's quite a "made up" look.

Nobody could ever accuse me of looking "natural" Grin
