I'm sick to death of paying £200 for a shit colour and cut that ruins my hair and I always leave the salon nearly in tears.
Is there a hairdresser in the land that can actually dye brown hair blonde without it looking shite orange after 6 weeks and my hair snapping off ?
I will admit to only having been to Toni and Guy recently.

RMUK in Leeds.
Get Massi to do your colour. He did mine, first time I've ever dyed my hair. Had a natural bayalage done and it is perfect - I wanted natural/sun kissed, he is the senior colourist so it was expensive but worth every penny. Tim did the cut which was nice but not groundbreaking.

In the south west, I would call the Cutting Shed and ask Libby to do it. She has a great eye for hair and faces, used to do loads of top line editorial work and trains for several top brands.

RedMetamorphosis where would you recommend for S Cheshire?

JDSTER · 10/06/2017 22:18

Any North East recommendations please?

Can I ask much the same? I'm in Wales, Could do Bristol at a push? Hair curly, fine, breaking off due to thyroid problem/low iron/Peri-menopause and feel hideous. Want some gentle colour and a pretty cut.

I go to and recommend Daniel Galvin.

Have you thought about a curly hair specialist? I can't offer any recommendations sadly as I'm only just starting to wear my hair curly after 10+ years of straightening, but I'm planning on trying Matthew James in Birmingham after hearing very good things.

icloud75com · 15/06/2017 11:59

I went to Matthew at Spring and paid a lot of money for him to do basically nothing and made me look like I had an old lady granny perm.
I embraced the whole curly girl method for a year and frankly my hair still looks shit so I'm going to go back to blow drying it when I have to, once a month at the salon and once a week at home. I can no longer do worsel gummage.

well you've just saved me a wasted train journey and a lot of money.

I know what you mean about the curls, I'm trying to love mine but my self esteem is at rock bottom, I feel like a mess. Good luck with your search for a stylist, let us know if you find the holy grail

The sad truth is I look 10 years younger with straight swooshy blonde hair and I am not married to a footballer so I can't get it done all the time, mores the pity.
I've decided I used to smoke, that was £35 a week, so now i'm going to spend £30 a month getting a fab blow dry and olaplex costs £30 a bottle and lasts 3 weeks. I'm still up on the deal and I don't smell Grin
