Any recommendations for one good for sensitive/acne prone skin? SPF 30+ ideally.

Vichy

walkingonthemoon · 09/06/2017 17:01

I use simple factor 30 daycream. Really like it!

Leviticus · 09/06/2017 17:37

I like the Nuxe one - smells lovely and not too greasy. I used Clarins last time following recommendations and I felt a bit shiny.

45DegreestoReality · 09/06/2017 17:54

My current favourite is Eucrin,

m.feelunique.com/p/Eucerin-Sun-Face-Anti-Age-Fluid-SPF-50-50ml?pp2=y

It dries quickly, no greasiness or pilling.

Kennethnoisewater · 09/06/2017 18:33

Don't use a regular moisturiser that just happens to have an spf in it, they're no good at all, they're not broad spectrum and won't stop you from burning. I've just got back from the Middle East, I swear by la roche posay 'anthelios' it's not great or shiny, you put your make up over the top if you like and nothing gets through it, I'm the same colour after a week in 40 degree heat as I was when I left the uk!

Bodicea · 09/06/2017 18:48

If your skin is sensitive it best to stick to a mineral one. I like city block spf 25. The trouble with mineral as it leaves a white cast the higher you go. They do a spf 40 version but I haven't tried it.
I also Am currently using skinceuticals sheer mineral up defence. Spf 50 - the tinted version - for when I need a higher spf.

Logoplanter · 09/06/2017 19:25

I've got both the Clinique City Block spf 25 and Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face with SPF 30. Both good under makeup or on their own; the latter is considerably cheaper though!

JDSTER · 09/06/2017 19:41

La Roche Posay do various very effective facial suncreams. Have a look at the reviews on line to find one to suit your skin type.

SesameSparkle · 09/06/2017 20:35

I bought a load of Neutrogena stuff in the states recently, including their 'clear face' sunscreen. It's spf 30, oil free and meant not to cause break outs. I've not actually tried it yet crap weather, but I can see it's on amazon if you want to give it a try.

TeaAddict235 · 09/06/2017 20:40

I find that they seep into my eyes and then my eyes start to water for the rest of the day. Does this happen to anyone else?

Thatextrainch · 09/06/2017 20:45

Second time I've said this today, LA Roche posay Anthellos spf 50. It's very light so great for oily skin types

45DegreestoReality · 10/06/2017 07:28

TeaAddict235 I have found that with some (La Roche Posay for example). It would also gather in my eyebrows!
I don't get it with Ultrasun or Eucrin. I'm not sure why though.

boggedoff · 10/06/2017 07:30

Ultrasun face came back from Greece with just a mild tan

loveyouradvice · 14/06/2017 20:37

Teaaddict exactly the same for me... and I wear contact lenses so triply painful... I cry and have to take lenses out they hurt so much.

So im in the market for top tips for any that don't seep... and Im guessing the seeping happens because we sweat gently in the heat???

Great threat everyone... looking forward to tips on top non-seeping SPF30+++ sun tan creams... ideally SPF50 for those super sunny days....

Pippielk · 19/06/2017 22:46

I also have same problem with my eyes watering and making me look like I've just been crying with most sun creams- tried so many facial suncreams and the only one I can tolerate is Dior bronze spf 30 or 50. I only use it on my face and usual normal cheap stuff for everywhere else -that way a tube lasts me ages.

www.dior.com/beauty/en_gb/fragrance-beauty/skincare/the-collections/dior-bronze/pr-diorbronze-y0214430-beautifying-protective-creme-sublime-glow-spf-50.html

Must try the ones mentioned here - hopefully cheaper.

silentpool · 20/06/2017 05:49

Some of the Asian ones like Biore, which is like a lightweight gel. The Japanese and Korean ones are really good for not making you greasy.

Lottapianos · 20/06/2017 08:10

Biore Watery Essence SPF 50, available from Amazon for about a tenner. No stingy eyes or grease, great under make up

NiteFlights · 20/06/2017 10:01

Depends what your skin is sensitive to, as well - a lot of the brands recommended here would not work for me as I seem to be super-sensitive to alcohol in face creams. The best ones I've tried are Clinique City Block, Boots Soltan Dry Touch (only spf 30) and I've just started using Boots Protect and Perfect spf 50 which I'm very impressed with so far. I do quite a bit of walking and am sweaty, and it hasn't run into my eyes (also very sensitive) at all.

Manijo · 20/06/2017 13:43

Shiseido Face various SPFs

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 20/06/2017 13:47

My skin is prone to outbreaks from many sun creams and moisturisers and the advice I got on here was to try La Roche Posay 'anthelios' (which is also available in a tinted version) and Ultrasun face. Both these have been fine on my skin and are 50+ SPF. Ultrasun is also a once a day sun screen so handy for under make-up, but I think the La Roche needs frequent applications (although not sure without checking).

In another old thread I asked what skin care products wouldn't give me spots and was told to avoid certain known problem chemicals, so it might be worth checking the ingredients list for these:
methyloxycinnamate (Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate/Octyl Methoxycinnamate),
Methylisothiazolinone
oxybenzone (benzophenone-3)

Octyl methoxycinnamate, also known as Octinoxate, Eusolex 2292 and Uvinul MC80,
retinyl palmitate

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 20/06/2017 13:49

I second the La Roche Posay 'anthelios' - but I use the 'Ultra-Light' version. It's fab. A little goes a long way and it's really light.

FritzyMousey · 20/06/2017 13:57

I like the Biore Watery Essence as well at the moment. I get the stinging eyes thing as well but now I just avoid the eye area completely when applying, I always wear sunglasses when it's sunny anyway so my eyes are protected.

KatharinaRosalie · 20/06/2017 14:03

La Roche ultralight spray. Love it, totally invisible.

LizTaylorsFabulousTurban · 20/06/2017 14:05

Another vote for La Roche Posay Anthelios here - you don't feel like you are wearing it - none of the clogging stickiness that you get with some facial spf.
