Is this dress suitable for a wedding?

This dress? I think it might be quite flattering on me.

It's a C of E church wedding followed by reception in a barn.

What kind of cover up/shoes would you wear with it?

As long as your boobs aren't hanging out of it I think it would be fine for a church wedding. Unfortunately it would look indecent on me.

As it's a barn reception you should probably avoid stilettos so tan/nude strappies with a block heel would look good.

I think a cover up in cream or cornflower blue would look nice.

Pretty dress!

Personally, I think it could be a bit too revealing for my tastes, (depending on how it sits on you). It would be a good flash of leg on a tall person and a good flash of boob on a busty person Grin.

It's also mainly ivory / cream? I can't really tell from the pic. I always was told never to wear white and never show too much flesh at a wedding for fear of upstaging the bride. Totally depends how much that bothers you.

Honestly, if it were me, I'd keep looking something else.

Depends on the size of your boobs - it could be too revealing or it could be fine. It does say 'plunging neckline'. Personally I think you either flash a bit of leg or a bit of boob, not both. And definitely not in a church.

Hmmm, comments noted. I'll keep looking.

I do love that dress though!

It's a bit 'boobs legsly'. You don't want to be the woman in the inappropriately revealing frock at a wedding!

Dawnedlightly · 05/06/2017 15:15

It's styled and shot to show the slide slit. If you're booby and won't be doing the splits it'll be lovely. Maybe wear it with a bolero cardigan rather than a wrap.

Dawnedlightly · 05/06/2017 15:15

Not booby that should be...

Cacofonix · 05/06/2017 15:15

Yes pretty pattern but no no def not for a church wedding. It also looks like it could also be a bit see through. I can imagine a slight breeze and you not having enough hands to stop boob/crotch exposure!Grin

BoredOnMatLeave · 05/06/2017 16:00

I think its pretty but not for a church wedding. Also I worse a wrap dress to DD christening the other week and did not realise the slit basically falls to either side when you sit so you have to be VERY conscious.

needsomesunshineandwine · 05/06/2017 17:06

Lovely dress.

Pinkheart5919 · 05/06/2017 17:11

It's a pretty dress but Would really depend on your boob size, it would be like porn me wearing that out in public!

I'd keep looking for a dress for the wedding

needsomesunshineandwine · 05/06/2017 17:15

A shawl for the church and you could wear barely there blue or pink heels.

What age are you? Why don't you try the dress on at least to see what you think.

I think the dress is lovely.

metspengler · 05/06/2017 17:16

I think its pretty but not for a church wedding.

This.

SpecialStains · 05/06/2017 18:27

I'm 26, size 8, 5"4, currently got 28f breastfeeding boobs which are not massive but definitely there.

I understand what you're all saying ... what occasion would that dress be good for and how do I get invited to such a do? I can't justify it without a reason.

I really like the dress, you could always take it to a seamstress so it's not as low. I've done that with a few dresses.

I have no nights out and pregnant at the moment but think I may purchase this dress as well Grin

Rockaby · 05/06/2017 19:10

Definitely buy it anyway! It's so lovely.

You could wear it to a birthday party, engagement drinks, night out with friends, round the house, gardening, grocery shopping? Grin.
