What can I do with my hair. I want something different (pic included)

Tried a long bob which looked nice.

Tried a pixie cut which looked awful as I have strong features and not little delicate ones.

Tried my hair long and straight but feel it doesn't frame my face. Currently it reaches shoulder length.

My hair is naturally straight but have had a wavy perm put in. I'm not happy with it though. Any suggestions on what will look classy.

I have thin, fine hair.

For a change, what about having a fringe.

Littlemissaccountant · 04/06/2017 15:55

It makes my nose look big!

I think I'm just unlucky with my hair being thin and having strong features.

Maybe a side fringe though. I could try that

You remind me a little of Sharleen Spiteri. Something like this would probably make your hair look thicker?

I agree you do look abit like here gorgeous! That choppy cut would suit you where are you getting it done?

Littlemissaccountant · 04/06/2017 16:04

The perm is a bit too much! It looked nice on paper but makes me look like I'm off out clubbing! 😂

Short hair doesn't suit me. It makes my face look round and fat.

Sigh! Maybe I will keep it straight and long.

Do you have any photos of you with short hair?

MikeUniformMike · 04/06/2017 16:06

Try a fringe or length shaped to frame your face. You have strong features but that is a good thing (you look pretty). Sharleen Spiteri or Liv Tyler, I'd say.

Littlemissaccountant · 04/06/2017 16:12

This is the best I can do. Just taken this one now.

This is my hair up in a bun.

I don't think I suit short hair at all. Features are too strong.

Your hair tied up looks lovely. Stop fishing for compliments!

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 04/06/2017 16:19

Oooh you do suit short hair! Maybe a classic chin length bob, bit of inversion at the back?

RedMetamorphosis · 04/06/2017 16:19

Did you have a side parting with your long bob? If so, I'd go long bob again but with a middle parting - like an Alexa Chung style long bob.

I'd also find a good colour technician as highlights can really make your hair look thicker.

Maudlinmaud · 04/06/2017 16:20

Op I think I recognise you. Have you posted pics before? A side fringe would be a nice change and you can always pin it back if it doesn't suit.

Littlemissaccountant · 04/06/2017 16:22

hippa

Not fishing. It looks absolutely awful. That's just one pic. Within a hour I look like miss trunchball. My friends agree too! So no getting away from that one.

You posted with your photo the other day! Yes to a fringe. Try it.

Littlemissaccountant · 04/06/2017 16:23

Long bob with side fringe sound like it could work.

I have very thin hair which loses body after a few minutes. Even after a professional blow dry so I want something that will look nice. Not just nice straight after the hairdresser.

I always find it weird when people say they can't have short hair but then wear it up, which provides a very similar end result in terms of how your face then looks. A really good hairdresser should be able to make short hair work for anyone. Of course if you don't want short hair, have it long, it's your hair!

GinGeum · 04/06/2017 16:29

It's really hard to tell because the pictures are so blurry and keep chopping off the top of your head. Can you take a picture with less cleavage showing your whole head so we can see what your volume at the roots is like etc? From what I can see, I agree with a PP about an Alexa Chung style long bob. Centre parting, perhaps layered around the face.

CountFosco · 04/06/2017 16:31

Right, your hair does look fine but you are gorgeous and so a good stylist should be able to give you a cut that looks amazing. If I was you I'd ask people you see in the street (or friends/relatives!) that have fine hair with nice cuts and ask them who cuts their hair. Recommendations for a good stylist will find you someone who will be able to make you good what ever hairstyle you have.

I work with a woman who has hair that looks quite like yours, she had a fringe and a long bob that isn't sharp at the bottom, it's kind of a feathered effect that adds a bit of volume. My sister also has fine dark hair and she has a much sharper bob also with a fringe and it looks good but she does use straighteners every day to roll it under at the bottom.

TealStar · 04/06/2017 16:31

I have thin hair and strong features too Smile

After a lifetime of experimenting, I have concluded that my hair looks best as:

Just above shoulder length to long with no fringe
Long with side fringe
Worn up

I try very hard not to have it cut, no matter how fed up I get with it. Have you thought about just having some highlights and a trim?

pigeondujour · 04/06/2017 16:31

I think it looks great in the first picture?! Why aren't you happy with it? You're lovely looking.

Littlemissaccountant · 04/06/2017 16:35

I like the wavy perm but it's a bit like I'm going clubbing!

I don't mind it straight and long.
Just feel my face needs a bit of framing. Something to soften my jawline.
