Deep conditioning treatment

Any recommendations for a deep conditioning treatment I can use at home?
My hair is thin and lank but also dry and coloured.
It could do with a bit of tlc. So any advice would be welcome.

Superdrug coconut water hair mask. I use it as a normal conditioner mainly because my hair is thick and dry and I swim a lot. Lovely product. It comes in a blue and white tub.

Check out the kerastase heat cute masks you can buy the at home kits from eBay quite cheaply. I had it done at my hairdressers and it was brilliant lasted a good month washing 3 times per week. Xx

Kerastase masks are great - I have tried several after damaging my hair. All good.

I use neat coconut oil on my thick, straight, coloured, shoulder length hair. I apply it to the ends/mid-lengths/fringe only, cover it with a shower cap. Leave it in for at least an hour and preferably overnight. In the morning I wash as normal. It is all absorbed into the hair by then so I don't need any special washing technique. My post-menopausal hair is shiny and bouncy.

This is worth a try because it is so inexpensive but it doesn't suit everyone. My 20 yo DD found it didn't soak into her hair (perhaps because it isn't coloured?) and left it a lank greasy mess.

Vatika egg and honey deep conditioning hair mask. I just bought this from superdrug and have used it a couple of times with great results. I even got my OH to use it for his hair (dry frizzy curls with lots of damage) and it has made them so much nicer.

If your hair didnt like the coconut oil, it probably needs moisture instead of protein.

One of the keys to healthier hair is a proper protein to moisture balance. For moisture and softness, stick to conditioners that have fatty alcohols like cetyl, stearyl, and cetearyl, plus emollient butters and oils, humectants like glycerin and aloe vera, and ceramides.

Avoid protein ingredients like hydrolyzed proteins, amino acids, keratin, and henna.

The best thing you can do is look at the ingredients list of several and decide for yourself.

You could use a ready made product like the Shea Moisture deep treatment mask, or you could add something like sweet almond oil/ macadamia/ argan oil (make sure it's 100% pure, there are lots of fake mixes) or even good old extra virgin olive oil to your own conditioner and warm it gently for extra effect, and leave it on for half an hour. I do that with sweet almond oil because my hair is lacking moisture too.

I'm using it weekly but it doesnt specify how often to use it. Its one of those prodicts that has gained cult status and I can see why. Have a look a a few reviews and see if it sounds like what your looking for.

Apologies for the typos.

Rahua detox treatment but it costs a bloody fortune.

I second Roots by Lush its amazing! Since using this my damaged fizzy over processed knotty straw like hair has changed n become smooth and manageable. Your supposed to just massage it into the roots for 20 mins or so I do this but for the last 10 smooth it all through my hair. My hair was so knotty and it's changed it. I do follow with blousey shampoo and American cream conditioner. My one splurge but I wouldn't be without x
