Having invested in a v expensive foundation I need a primer, I am told. Can I have your recommendations? Should I also go high end for the primer too? I am nearly 50 with good skin, no problems .

The best one I have found is from Wilkos, from a brand called Kiss -

It is seriously good, non sticky and stops makeup slipping and smearing.

I use a Clarins one in a red pot. I've rebought it, as I found it just right.
It smoothes lines and pores while being light. I think it was cheaper than porefessional too, but quite similar.

I use the Nars Primer which has the added bonus of SPF50. Sali Hughes loves it. I bought it after reading her article and am delighted with it Smile

Smashbox photo finish primer. Best on the market and if you buy it direct online from them, you get a fiver off as a new customer. Win win!!

Wow so many choices , thanks!
How does it work with sunscreen and primers/ foundation? I am fanatical about using sunscreen as I use acids and retin A. If you reapply during the day won't you reply over the primer and foundation?
