Bikini line woes

Looking for advice...

I seem to have a VERY sensitive bikini line and have never found a hair removal method that works for me.
Waxing (home & salon) leaves me red and bumpy and by the time the redness has gone I have new hairs (have tried a course to see if that helped but no) and then I get ingrowing hairs despite exfoliation etc.
Depilatory creams same issue with ingrowing hairs.
Wet shaving - regrowth and ingrowing hairs.
Electric shaver - ingrowing hairs.

Am I missing something? Has anyone had a similar issue and found a solution?

IPL would only be the thing to try. You can get ones to use at home I think Phillips do one.

@TheMogget as painstakingly a lengthy task as it may sound, I suffer the same and actual pluck with tweezers now. Regrowth was quite quick to begin with but has slowed down a lot over the years.

I've suffered the same over the years.

Gave up and went in for a 70s style bush for pregnancy and almost a year after

But... the last few months I've been having 6 weekly waxes at an amazing salon that specialises in bikini waxing. The hot wax is a lot better and I've had a few ingrown hairs. It was red for only a few hours afterwards.

Have you been having the hot wax or the warm wax with strips?

Laser by a clinical professional, not a beauty therapist. Pricey but the best thing I ever did.

IPL/laser definitely worth it. I had mine done at a Sk:n clinic and it was a revolution. 5 years later a few odd hairs are coming back so I have the Phillips Lumia which is also great but doesn't seem to be as permanent so I'd definitely recommend a professional job first, so completely worth the money.

Had hot wax last few times I've had it done at the salon. Tried tweezing too but still seem to get the ingrowing hairs plus I'm bad for digging around to try and get them out which ends up looking even worse.

Sweaty did the hair grow back or is gone forever? I could be persuaded if it's a permanent solution....

More or less gone for ever....and quite a few years back. If any do show up now I just shave them, because they're so sparse I don't seem to get the ingrowns.

Thank you. Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and go for it then.

Another vote for Phillips lumea - its boring zapping every inch of yourself but I now have no in grown hairs and beautifully soft skin.

Absolutely laser (not IPL). Totally gone. Although it takes several sessions, you can shave in between and won't get the ingrowns etc that you get shaving if you haven't had laser. It's stopped the red bumps and ingrowing hairs totally. I tried my bikini line as an introduction to see if I would get on with laser removal, and have since been converted and working my way through my whole body!
