The perfect "leaving hospital" dress

Haha. Even typing that is hilarious.

Last time I left hospital with my dd I looked a goddamn mess.

I'd quite like to look "vaguely" presentable this time round and am looking for a dress that is practical, comfortable, can be worn with a bra and has easy access to boobs.

Any suggestions guys? Should I go for a
maternity dress or nursing dress, or would a normal maxi suffice?

I'm a size 16/18 as well just to add awkwardness to proceedings. Baby is due in summer as well.

Although I was wearing a maternity dress and leggings I did leave hospital with a full face of make-up and my hair curled Grin In fairness, I was in for a week after DD was born and was going a bit stir crazy so used to do it daily to pass the time whilst she was sleeping.

Thanks for all the responses. Trust me there will not be doing a full face of make up Grin I admire those who do. Eyebrows are looked after and that makes all the difference.

There isn't anything wrong with jogging bottoms etc but I personally look so unkempt and scruffy in all the pictures holding my newborn baby, that none of the framed pictures of her have me in.

I left in jersey hareem pants and a nursing top from purpless this time. After DS1 they made me wear flight socks for several weeks so I felt dresses were out.
