If you are short, thin, pear shaped and over 30, where do you shop for summer?

I'm struggling! All of the more 'grown up' shops seem to be for taller, slightly larger people. I end up in topshop or new look getting something that will not only fit me, but be the correct length. I also then have to sift through a lot of teenage style clothes to get something that suits me.

Now summer is approaching I'm struggling for casual wear. Can wear tea dresses for work but I just don't suit shorts at all. I'm a size 8 and have thighs and a bum that do not need to be on display (pasty and lumpy!) but happy to show off my shape. What are your go-to summer outfits?

Mango, Zara, H&M.
Not sure how they are for pear shapes, am a bit more straight up and down but I usually find tops, trousers and dresses smaller in size than Reiss, Whistles, Cos etc.
Head for branches in office-y areas for more grown up clothes. I find Oxford Street or small suburban branches the worst for focusing on high trend teen wear.

I'd love to be able to but clothes from Reiss but the waist position is wrong on dresses, the fly length is too long on trousers, the length and shoulder width is all wrong on tops. All tricky to alter properly.

I'm exactly the same size as you & I find New Look & Dorothy Perkins fit me well. Matalan have some nice stuff in at the moment. I find them quite good too.

I am size 10 on the bottom, 8 on top and five two but I don't find it hard to get clothes that fit! I do often spend an extra tenner getting things shortened but ....... on the whole I find it easy Confused

There are brands I'd avoid though! German Danish Swedish brands seem to be so voluminous they do loads of tunics and make me look pregnant. But most of the brands mentioned above are good but expensive. I love jigsaw, hobbs, fcuk, Reiss, ted baker. Even phase-eight for jumpers and tops in the sale.

Warehouse, Whistles, Jigsaw and Banana Republic

(Short, pear shaped and over 40)
