Glamping. What to wear!

So me and the OH are going glamping next weekend in a tipi. It will be just the 2 of us no kids ☺
On the way we are going to stop somewhere and have a wonder around the city and then early afternoon walk into the village near where we are staying for a few drinks and bite to eat before heading back to the hot tub!
I just dont know what to wear to be smart enough for the city, but warm enough to walk into the village. Grrr any help?

Unless theres a mega heatwave and its shorts and top weather 🌞

I'm also interested to know what to wear, glamping in July. Have fun loveagoodbook and report back!

If it's on the way, I'd wear whatever I fancy for the wander to see if you need to be smart / dry etc for meal later then change at campsite.

I camp regularly and go to lots of festivals - my core wardrobe item is cut off jeans which I wear with/without tights/leggings if it's rainy/cold and with wellies to avoid welly rub. That way you can wear flip flops if dry etc and only have to change your tights for a few days rather than lugging loads of clothes about. I feel the cold terribly at night sat outside drinking looking at the stars so layers, hoody, hat, warm socks, gloves.

Have fun!

If it's chilly you'll appreciate socks. Jeans and a range of tops is my go-to and wellies or flips for the site.

Thanks everyone im thinking jeans or if nice 3/4 jeans and a nice top, something gypsy looking! 😃 I dont think ill need wellies as its only got a few properties on the site so wont be well trodden, so just some pumps, then i cant through a jumper in if chilly, although we will be in the hot tub when we get back to site

I think you should go for a festival/rock chick look. Gypsy top is good, leggings are easy with long line vests, denim jacket and go for a few layers you can take on or off. Wellies and flip flops or pumps, don't take stuff that needs ironing.
Have a great time Smile

Do not use underestimate how cold it could be at night .,

Loveagoodbook · 07/05/2017 19:30

Ill be ready for the cold although the tipee has under floor heating 😉
Going to look for a nice denim jacket later.
Thanks

What travailto said- you WILL be cold at night, however nice it is during the day. Especially if it's clear. You'll want full length jeans, thick socks and proper trainers or boots- not just little pumps that leave your ankles out. And a warm jumper and coat.

Under floor heating? That sounds like my kind of camping!
I remember from my festival days that a torch was always handy too.
