Best Fake Tan - Especially For Pale Skin!

SashaSashays · 03/05/2017 19:18

I'm looking for a light coloured fake tan ideally. I always find St Tropez brings me out very dark.

I'm not trying to achieve full on gold but I'm very pale and so would like something just to stop my arms and legs looking so white.

I don't mind a gradual tan but something thats minimum effort so once every few days is more my style. Suggestions please?

I love clarins... But it is pricey. I only use when going on holiday so worth it for me

jeaux90 · 03/05/2017 20:41

Clarins drops you put in your own moisturiser love it as you can build it up. I'm really pale and use the body and face one.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/05/2017 20:59

St Tropez is quite dark for a lot of complexions. Too much dha = 🍊

LanaDReye · 03/05/2017 21:03

I find St Tropez mousse rubbed over quickly (with tight hairdye gloves on) is good and I'm fairly pale. I put fake tan on night before and wipe top layer off next morning. The slow build up ones have made me streaky (Palmers one and St Tropez).

M&S's oil tanner. Lovely on me (Im ghostly). Buy the drops and you can add them to your normal moisturuser to get a custom tan. The Dove everyday tan (light) is good too but brings out my sunspots. Ive heard good things about skinny tan but havent tried it. M&S is my current favourite. Im not a fan of the tango look.

Vita liberata, but I do prefer a more golden tan I find it suits my pale skin tone better than more brown self tans.

SashaSashays · 03/05/2017 21:32

Is there a specific Vita Liberata one you like?

Also with the M&S oil is it this Autograph one?

I like Bondi Sands
You apply, leave for between 1 hour and overnight 6 hours and the longer you leave the darker it develops. I am super blue pale and this looks natural on me. It fades uniformly too.

I use this Garnier Ambre light face mist on my face.

GingerLDN · 03/05/2017 23:55

I second Bondi Sands

Disappointednomore · 04/05/2017 19:59

I have just discovered Tan Organic tanning oil it's amazing - hardly smells, soaks in really quickly, spreads evenly without trying. I have really pale skin and it's a really natural look. Bought it on a Monarch plane and now need to find somewhere else to buy it!

MrsDustyBusty · 04/05/2017 20:02

The St Tropez in shower one in light just warms my blue skin up.

RiseandGrind · 05/05/2017 23:00

Sashasashays yes thats the one. Ive noticed that it goes slightly patchy as it faded though but the colour is fantastic for pale people.

I tried the VitaLibrata but dont rate it. V messy and not worth the money.

PossibiliTea · 05/05/2017 23:01

I've been using palmers cocoa butter gradual moisturiser... I'm very very pale and it's worked really well! Just a nice glow and looks really natural. It's the best one I've tried yet.

Oh and it's in home and bargains at the moment!!

Lucked · 05/05/2017 23:09

I am very fair and use Dove Dermaspa gradual tanner but only the medium to dark skin tanner. The fair one is orangey but the darker one has brown tones. I gets lovely healthy colour from two applications.

QueSera · 05/05/2017 23:24

Not sure about pale skin, but i use Lavera and always get comments about how natural it looks. Always use a tanning mitt

Dontsayyouloveme · 06/05/2017 01:33

I have blue skin and I love xen tan dark lotion. No need for moisturiser first and truly gorgeous natural colour!!!

chloechloe · 06/05/2017 06:52

The Clarins drops are amazing! I read on here that the ones for the body can be used on the face also and are better value. You can custom blend them and the colour is very natural.

DavetheCat2001 · 06/05/2017 10:02

I use St Tropez tinted gradual tanner. I'm very pale and it gives a really lovely natural glow on my skin.

Because it's tinted too, you can see exactly where you are putting it and avoid streaky and missed bits, and there is a colour there immediately, although it continues to develop over a few hours.

PotPlantAddict · 06/05/2017 11:39

I've just brought the M&S oil and looking forward to giving it a try.

RiseandGrind do you use a tanning mitt with it?
