Those brushes that say they straiten hair

Do they work? Are some better than others, I I'm too inept to straighten with the plate ones so was thinking of taking the plunge

Yes, they work. You need a bit of patience though. It's not quite brush and go. You do need to section your hair off, and it doesn't give you a glass like finish - but it's smooth and swishy. I have both the babyliss one and a cheap Asavea one from Amazon that I bought for the camper van - it's easily as good as the babyliss at a third of the price.

I've got this Babyliss one. It works really well on my hair.

lionsleepstonight · 01/05/2017 13:05

Not for me either but I do have super thick frizzy hair.

ginflumpsandzebraprint · 01/05/2017 13:11

I find it no quicker than hair straighteners and they don't do even half as good s job. I wish I hadn't wasted my money!

foamybananasweets · 01/05/2017 15:35

I've got very fine hair, that wants to be wavy (in a messy way not a nice wave) I just don't have the manual dexterity to straighten the back of my own hair so thought a brush would be easier.

MummyPenguin (or anyone else!) ** if you want to sell yours on send me a pm, Not a lot of spare money at the moment so if I can buy an unwanted one cheap that would help

And do you have to totally dry your hair or can you us it on damp hair?

I have the asavea one. It takes around the same time as a ghd but doesn't leave my hair as flat - which is a bonus for me because my hair is fine at the moment. If you wanted poker straight hair then the plate straighteners do a better job

foamybananasweets · 01/05/2017 16:17

Def do not want poker straight flat hair. I look ridiculous when hair has no body. Looks like I need to try a straightening brush Smile
