DD is being teased at school for her moustache. She is olive skinned and definitely has a distinct amount of hair above her lip... Also a few small spots around her top lip. I am pale skinned and have never jhad to worry about this so I am a bit worried about the best way to deal with this. I have obviously googled and it seems that Nair may be a good remover?? I don't think that bleaching will work well as I understand you can still see the hairs and DD wants them gone! Waxing fills me with dread!! Can anyone recommend or confirm that Nair might work and is there anything to be aware of when doing it? Sorry to sound so dense on this but it is a whole new world for me!! Thanks.

I would thread it or use a cream and then bleach as it starts to regrow before re threading or creaming.
And get a lumea to keep it under control.
I had this issue as a teen but not anymore - it may go away!

I would take her to a salon and get it waxed. Immediate and decent length of time lasting. It will hurt but (that area makes your eyes water involuntarily) it sounds like she will put up with the pain to avoid getting teased by shits

What sort of a nasty sod makes comments like that Sad

I either get mine threaded in Superdrug, when I'm having my eyebrows done or use the epistick someone upthread metioned.

You're lovely to be doing this for her, I had years of furtively shaving with my dads razor!

Trim then bleach. DO NOT REMOVE by waxing, epilating episticking, threading. Ideally go for laser hair removal but its pricey. Bleaching is quick, easy and cheap, she could probably do it herself after being guided the first time. I started stealing my mums Jolene at around the same age for my tache Grin

If you do take her to a salon, make it a special trip, get her eyebrows, nails or something done too, make her feel it's a positive occasion rather than something you are doing in response to teasing. fuck those hairless bitches for teasing your DD

Get her this philips facial trimmer - its like a mini shaver, painless and for me the only way that has not irriated me. Bonus, is that it's under your control - so can touch up when and if required.

Bleaching has never worked for me - it just looked like lighter fluff.

If she's too embarrassed to go to a salon, She can learn to thread it herself with a reel of cotton and a YouTube video, its very easy.
First time painful then after that it's a breeze. Can tweeze any strays.
I wouldn't bother trying hair removal creams, bleaching or shaving as the regrowth is so quick and it's noticeable on the face.
Tell her not to be embarrassed, my Indian friend was having electrolysis on her face at 13.

Dont bleach. The hair is still there. Just a different colour which will show up and look ridiculous in certain lights.
