Hi ladies can anyone help me what to wear with these sandals please? I've already bought them and I was thinking a frilly top and blue or black jeans but any dress ideas or particular jeans or tops welcome...
I'm 25 waist and 28 leg maybe even smaller so Topshop short jeans go down a treat for me. I'm a bit old fashioned and wear the Leigh Jeans most but recently got some Jamie embroidered ones although I reckon embroidered on embroidered is probably OTT so yea throw your throughts at me please and thank you

This would be nice

tethersend · 13/04/2017 15:34

Small cross body worn underneath.

Or a holster Grin

KoalaDownUnder · 13/04/2017 15:36

I'm thinking of an outfit kinda like this. Lighter coloured top, ideally.

OP that blue knotted top is gorgeous.

Ohyesiam · 13/04/2017 15:40

I love indigo denim and red, these would look great with jeans and a low key top.
Having said that, sometimes really vibrant shoes seem to go with everything. I can see them with a shirt dress, or a flirty Iittle skirt

FunkinEll · 13/04/2017 16:08

Oh I love them! Are they comfortable?

I like the sound of them with some ankle length jeans (not skinny!) and a chambray, bell sleeves type top like a PP mentioned.

gonegrey56 · 13/04/2017 16:13

OP my super-stylish fashionista daughter has just bought those shoes. She plans to wear them with a black jumpsuit.

FunkinEll · 13/04/2017 16:13

Jeans like this maybe.

BreatheDeep · 13/04/2017 16:17

I think skinny jeans and a peasant blouse but I'd go cream or white blouse. And maybe paler jeans.

Why bother commenting just to say you don't like them?!

Maudlinmaud · 13/04/2017 16:21

Style and beauty has got very aibu op, pay no notice, I have to say I wouldn't wear them either but thats because I wore them the first time around Grin
I agree with others they would look fab with indigo jeans rolled up a little so you can show them off to full effect. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

notanothernamechangebabes · 13/04/2017 16:22

Black midi tube skirt and knotted top would give you a lovely 1950s look if you like that sort of thing...

FunkinEll · 13/04/2017 16:22

How about this top and some pale jeans for less dressy times and then a black jumpsuit for smarter occasions.

mowgeli · 13/04/2017 16:40

tether I love that denim dress but would prefer it a lot shorter, like just to the knee. My MIL is a fantastic seamstress I'm sure she could help 😘

breathe maud funkin gone and not thank you every one of you for words of encouragement you've all made me feel so much better and smile.
My sister just cooked me some roast chicken, she came down for a few days to look after me and help my husband because he's working a lot and that plus this has improved my mood.

It's an important lesson I think for all of us that we don't know how other people feel on a day and we should either be supportive or be quiet unless it's someone asking if they've been unreasonable. Also that even if we disagree the way we phrase things should be taken into account.

Some people really have got too much negativity in their lives.

😘😘 have a good afternoon everyone and thanks for the tips especially the idea of the rolled up trousers that's quite daring but sure it would go well if I can be brave enough!

I love them Mowgeli! I think I'd go with straight cropped darkish jeans and oversized classic white cotton or silk shirt, unbuttoned lowish. Little cross-body bag. Or with denim pinafore dress and T-shirt. Or peeking out from flared jeans, then a fitted top (maybe black and white Breton?)

EivissaSenorita · 13/04/2017 17:51

I'm a Topshop lover too! I'd wear with skinnies and one of these

Op everyone has different taste in things, birkenstocks and saltwater sandals are very popular on mumsnet but others hate them! Don't worry about what people think, if you love them there are bound to be others that do! They are super trendy!

Wear them with pride Grin

FurryElephant · 13/04/2017 18:03

I think they'd look fab with this! Would look lovely dressed up or down Smile

You've had some good suggestions but I'd say black jumpsuit, I have the Sainos one recommended above, it's a bargain, or black not skinny cropped jeans and a good shirt. Have fun wherever you wear them.

FunkinEll · 13/04/2017 19:29

I just popped into M&S, they had them on display.

I tried them on, good size heel, comfortable and flattering. I'm going to get some using a family members discount.

I ordered the black Sainsbury's jumpsuit and it's arrived today - will ever trying on shortly once DD goes to sleep. Fingers crossed it looks good!

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 13/04/2017 20:37

Jumpsuit is a no go for me. Slightly too long though nothing major but the crotch hangs down by my knees! Shame as it would be a lovely and comfy jumpsuit if it fitted me properly and is a bargainous price with the current 25% off.

SuperFlyHigh · 13/04/2017 20:41

Can't check but Cos strangely enough has some nice feminine tops and nice colours better quality than Zara or Massimo Dutti. Or even &other stories. Zara ok but quite trendy. Even h&m do nice tops.
