If you're allergic to soap how do you clean your face?

My dd is allergic to soap, rash on hands etc. She's managed til now to never wash her face (sigh). She's now getting spots but I can't think which facial wash to suggest that won't give her a rash.

Most cleansers are too harsh for my extremely sensitive skin. Block soap on my face? Never! It's too harsh even for my hands. I generally use a moisturiser of some sort, only using an eye-makeup remover if necessary.

Simple is OK, Clinique is lovely. Waitrose warm oil cleanser is absolutely lovely. I oil my face before I get in the shower, and rinse it off in the shower.

I don't cleanse every day, not unless I've used makeup or sunscreen. The best way of looking after skin is to rinse it with water, and lightly moisturise.

When I was a teen with a cupboard full of Clearasil etc, I was advised to chuck the lot, and several times a day wash my hands with soap and then rinse my face with tepid water. My skin improved immediately.

Olive oil, water and a muslin.

I swear by Holland and Barrett Manuka Honey range. I suffer with eczema, am allergic to certain preservatives ( was patch tested) and can use their soap. The Rescue cream is fabulous. I also use Epaderm and sometimes mix with a little oil and this has also helped.
