Anyone had a course of facials?

You know the sort where you book 5/6 for a couple of hundred quid! Was it worth it? I'm looking decidedly grey even with my uneven skintone but would have to seriously stretch the budget for a course. Any info/advice greatly received.

I wish!

I did this a couple of years ago before my wedding and looking back at the photos my skin looks asolutely fab

(however, was also before 5 years of nappies and interrupted sleep so maybe it wasn't the course of facials so much as the lack of small children that had me looking so spiffing )

Bummer, just what I didn't want to hear! Million problems over a million years with a million kids have taken its toll, I NEED HELP!!!!!!

oh do it - you'll look fab, feel great and the time away from the kids and problems in a mode of blissful self-indulgence will do you the world of good

(just wish I could afford it myself, but what with the childcare costs and all...I tell you, the minute they are both in full time education I'll be out those school gates and on the phone to the facialemporium booking my course as fast as I can)

Yes - guinot cathiodermie, years ago - they are absolutely fab. Go for it!

if you have the cash do it - it will be worth all the money for the psychological boost of investing something in you and devoting some time to your apperance.

You will look fab too but do it to 'love yourself' (blurghhhhh - that is so not me, but can't think how to phraase it!)

I agree, if you can, then why not? Definitely worth it.

I had a facial (treat from friends) at Christmas, and it made me realise what a state my skin was in

I also had a few before my wedding, and skin looked lovely... ahh, yes, jeangenie, before nappies, and dry skin.

Enjoy!

what I do not understand about facials is what do they do that you can not do yourself with all the right stuff I mean ordinary ones here, not the ones with machines..

would it be better to spend say 200 quid on the right stuff and make a routine to do it yourself once a week .. I know you miss out on the relaxing bit, but was it about the facial that makes your skin better? the time spent or the lie down after?
