Urgh, I have just put hand cream on (am SO rubbish at remembering to do this) and painted my nails so thought mine might look ok, but looks like it's too little, too late!!

Ah, thanks! I am so crap at tending to my hands and nails and do it once in a blue moon so I am glad the nails look ok!

The polish is rimmel super gel, done at home but it has a gel-like finish. Lasts nowhere near as long as a proper shellac job but that has always trashed my nails more than they can handle!

Am 40 in about 8 weeks time. Going to make a 40th resolution to look after my hands a bit more!!

lisbapalea I had a proper gel manicure for the first time the other day and I felt that it wasn't a very healthy process for the nails and hands. I think I'll stick to doing my own in future, although they do feel really nice and glossy.
