Cheaper version of Maria Tash earrings upper ear

Hi! Following an article in Good Housekeeping I am inspired to resurrect my upper ear piercing! It's in the cartilage and they refer to the pretty earrings done by Maria Tash. I've had a look and I love them - but they are very expensive.
Does anyone know any similar designs which are considerably cheaper? Thanks

Can you describe the Maria Tash ones? They aren't all expensive

Have a look on etsy, I am considering a daith piercing and also came across Maria tash. I even considered going to her studio in Liberty - I'm not a piercings kinda person generally so if I'm going to have it done I don't mind paying extra for a reliable and enjoyable experience, but I can't stump up that much! However have seen similar jewellery on etsy

I had mine done at Liberty (helix), and it was a really nice experience! The piercing itself isn't that expensive, and some of the earrings weren't either.

If it's any help, there was a code for free piercing there (came from Wardrobe Icons) - it's WIxTASH - valid till April 7th

Also have a look at Maria Black - she has some great earrings, but I'm not sure whether you're after the tiny ones, or the rings

Hello! Thanks very much. I like the small cuffs and also the sparkly rings and the more fancy ones with dangly bits on! I already have the upper cartilage (helix?!) pierced it just needs an earring poking through it! I did have a look on etsy but my ears are quite sensitive - I'm not sure what to - and I tend to have to use hypoallergenic or more expensive ones. I love the Maria ones but can't spend £595 on an earring!!! Would spend up to £40 for a lovely one.

Love some of the Maria Black ones too - but why is my taste so expensive??? The one I like best is £795

oh dear - not sure £40 will get you anything much - though if you can wear gold plated Maria Black sell some which are much less expensive. They had a flash sale the other week, but the sparkly ones do tend to be diamonds, so not £40. Have a look at her twirl earrings some of which are that price - they're really comfortable to wear. If you register on her site they will email you if they still have the flash sale. Hope you find something!

I've just resurrected mine and can't quite find one I really like - have been lucky to tolerate some cheapy ones to test styles but have yet to find 'the one'

Thanks. Might save up and buy one I love love in a couple of months. Is it weird I'm put off by the ones which just wrap round the ear and don't need it pierced? I'm thinking - I have the piercing I want it to go through it!!

I've got 3 weeks till I can take out my newly re pierced helix earring - the one they did it with - and looking for something lovely to put in it - £795 might be pushing it a bit though! Has anyone seen anything more in the 2 figure price bracket?!

they do go through the piercing Lala - then they kind of screw round and it looks as if you have two piercings

I think they'd fit nicely - can't try mine in my helix hole though because I only had it done in November and they said not to take it out for six months. If you like them, perhaps ask the company?

6 months! I was told 12 weeks for my helix. Eek! What advice were others given?

oh really? I even went back a couple of weeks ago because it still hurts quite a lot, and asked if perhaps I should get it changed for something smaller (I had quite a big sparkly ring put in) and they told me to leave it alone and not take it out for at least six months. They said it wouldn't be fully healed for a year!

There are a few stockists of BVLA in the Uk but most of the range are spendy, I think Neometal and Industrial Strength [?] are more affordable, all are a bit more affordable that Maria Tash.

I'm thinking of getting this piercing for my 40th- how much does it hurt (wuss) and honestly- am I too old for this?!

faustina I'm looking at the Maria tash earrings at liberty and the cheapest is £128- was there a more ahem reasonable selection when you went. I'd be happy to pay up to £80ish.

If you get your piercing done there do you have to purchase Maria tash?

They had simple hoops which were cheaper I think - and yes, I'm pretty sure you have to use their earrings

It doesn't hurt hugely but it's taking forever to stop hurting because it's a cartilage piercing, plus you can't sleep on that side for ages (which never occurred to me and is getting boring now after 4 months). Still glad I did it and I'm older than you!
