Occasion jewellery that looks like the inside of a hard drive?

Some colleagues have realised I've hit 60 and want to buy me a piece of jewellery. They have around £150-£200 to spend. My first thought was Vivienne Westwood cos I love her but I've taken a look and nothing really hits the spot. Plus I'm guessing it's mostly made in China now and, on reflection, I think I'd rather support an up-and-coming designer.

Now I love my jewellery but its mostly chain store or second hand. I don't really do pretty or blingy - I like stuff that looks a bit industrial and my favourite necklace of the moment looks like the inside of a computer hard drive. I'm not too bothered about it being classic/timeless because let's face it, I'm not going to be wearing it for the next 50 years but, on the other hand, it's a lovely thing for them to do so I want to find something appropriate.

Which is a long winded way of asking if anyone can suggest some contemporary jewellers in that budget range? Thanks.

Sounds like you like Steampunk style. There are lots by various designers on Etsy.

Thank you all so much. I feel absurdly anxious about this as their tastes are so different from mine and I really want to choose something that I love but that won't have them thinking, 'What the fuck is that?'

Dazzle might be worth a look because it combines loads of different small designers - they do gift vouchers as well which might help.

OP I think it's so nice of your colleagues to raise so much (they obviously hold you in high esteem!) and whatever you choose I'm sure they'd much rather you pick something you love and wear, not stick in a drawer untouched.

Well I've had a great time looking up these suggestions and I can honestly say there was something on every website I liked. So many talented people out there! I really like the steampunk stuff and the spoon rings - interesting history too and I've got lots of ideas for future wishlists. However on this occasion I've got a bit more money to spend and I can't stop thinking about Emma Ware

I'm going to hunt down a stockist first as I want to see and feel it for real. I'm also going to a contemporary jewellery exhibition in a few weeks which may give me some more ideas.

Donkeys you're right - it's lovely of them and they're not made of money either which is why I felt a bit daunted at first. But as you say, they want me to get something I love, which is why they've asked me to choose.
