How do I wear these - tucked in our out? (with pictures!)

After reading the MN thread a while back I bought a pair of DrMarten Flora thinking it would be the end of my casual work footear woes. Now I have them I don't know how to wear them!

Should my trousers be tucked in or pulled over the top?!

The jeans are wrong for the boots either way.

If you want them over boot, the jeans they need to be much looser on your calves and would be more flattering.

If you want them in the boot, they need to be skinny jeans and different length either way.

I agree with PP who said boots not good look for you. It may be the photo but the shine on them makes them look like cheap farmer's wellies.

I like the boots - I don't think they are as shiny in real life.

With correct jeans they would look great.

With skirt and opaques?

I don't like them, sorry. Too shiny and my first thought was wellies too. I like DMs, but not those ones, and not with those jeans. Sorry.

Personally, I would wear jeans that covered even the toes of the boots sorry OP, but I'm with a previous poster -they're seriously awful!

I read this thread, and on the way home from work, a lady on my train was wearing them. So much nicer in real life and not at all Welly like in the flesh. She had them on with a thick black knitted legging that ended just above the top of the boot. Similar to the pic that EggsEleven posted. Looked really cool.
