I've just bought www.marksandspencer.com/pure-cotton-strap-jumpsuit/p/p22491851?image=SD_01_T42_3149_HP_X_EC_90&color=DENIM&prevPage=srp&pdpredirect. I'd like to wear it now, but it's freezing. Any suggestions to keep me warm and looking nice til summer please?

There's surely not much point in trying to style as culottes, as presumably the bib is the whole point?

It's definitely a 1970s look, and I've been googling for images from Jackie magazine, and the nearest I've found seems to be teamed with stripes.

I like them! But bare legged with a long sleeved top to balance it a little. Sorry that's not much help until it gets warmer!

Laiste · 22/02/2017 09:35

When you google image 70s style denim dungerees (sp?) it's 99% summer time style.

I guess going whole hog 70s tan long boots, cream polo neck and a floppy hat would be eye catching Grin

Grin You lot!
Oh dear! :) I think without seeing it on the model it looks meh, but on her, I think it's nice.
I like it on - it feels really lovely, and yes, it is out of my comfort zone but I really needed shaking up a bit! And I think it suits my shape. I might try with the polo neck and I like the stripey tights idea too. Thank you! Failing that, I'll just wait til summer.

PInteret has some fab looks for summer if you search for denim dungaree culottes.

Many thanks, will do so now.

I think callars idea is great, black polo neck and tights. I think it would look fab, you go for it OP!

OhTheIroning · 22/02/2017 15:04

I'll go look for tights and a polo neck - I actually don't have either.
Thanks, Fuzzy.

ChocolateDoll- No, not at all. But I don't really go for rubbishing other people's fashion choices or feel the need to follow the herd.

burnishedsilver · 22/02/2017 19:17

I suspect there might be friction between the light weight denim and the tights causing the denim to ride up as you walk. You might need bare legs for it to hang right. Give it a go - nothing ventured nothing gained.

OhTheIroning · 23/02/2017 13:02

Flowers Callar.

Will do, burnished.

I was bracing myself when I clicked on the link but I quite like them, very 70's so probably polo neck and long boots would suit. Only issue might be if the denim is too light.

Couldn't possibly wear them myself though as I am far too dumpy!
