Which shoes and bag for Florida holiday (theme-park friendly choices needed)

DH, DD and me are off to Florida for 2 weeks over Easter.

We will be spending a fair amount of time in Disneyland and other theme parks, and everyone I know who has been said there is an awful lot of walking involved.

With this in mind, I am looking for options of comfy yet stylish footwear that I won't be too hot in. I have a pair of Stan Smiths but I can't see myself wearing them in mid- to high 20s temperatures. I have some nice flat sandals from Boden bought a couple of years ago but although they are comfy for sightseeing I'm not sure they're the right choice for amusement parks.

I also need a bag. I don't think any of my handbags will be practical so I'm thinking of a smart backpack. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I took Skechers go walks and fit flops. They were fantastic. I also took a pe style drawstring bag as it was lightweight and I didn't need to carry cash (stayed onsite do had a magic band).
Just wanted to say prepare for ALOT of walking we (2 adults, 2 dc) clocked up 103.3 miles in 2 weeks and averaged 9 miles a day around theme parks....enjoy I am desperate to get back.

LoupGarou these Isabelle sandals are very pretty!! I had no idea Crocs made anything like these!

Do you find the sole supportive enough for long walks?

@ShutTheFuckUpBarbara thanks, they do mercifully make some prettier ones. Yes I do, I've worn them when we've been sightseeing on foot all day and walking miles and miles and they've been brilliant, plus if it rains or they get wet it doesn't matter, they wipe clean and don't get stinky, also excellent for when my toddler spills something on them!

I also have these crocs ones, they come in loads of different colours and are equally amazingly comfy...

The backpack you posted is gorgeous by the way! Smile

We went to Efteling in august and it was 40 degrees every day. I wore birkies and carried a small rucksack - they were foldable ones for about £2 each from decathlon - there was one for everyone so we could all carry a water bottle!

I found my feet slipped around too much in crocs. I had some sandals a few years ago, they looked nice but weren't comfy after a couple of hours because my feet would sweat.

I wore Havianas and let DH carry the cash.

Its Disney, literally everything you need is there and you sit down every time you eat it go on a ride.

Another vote for Skechers Go Walk. The most comfy shoe ever. New out the box for my last Disney holiday and despite walking c. 25,000 steps per day, my feet had never felt better.

I might try the Isabella Crocs. They are quite a bit cheaper than FitFlops!

I'll see if I can try them on somewhere.

I will order the Amazon bag. There are some nice Kipling ones too but even in the sale they're twice the price, and it's not really a style I would wear again much so I will go with the cheapo option I think.

Now I need to find sandals etc. for DD.

I'm so excited about this trip!!

I'm on a backpack hunt as well. I'll have a 4 year old and a 9 month old so not even sure what size I'll need.

For me Florida always ends up being the ultimate "scruffy and don't care" destination. Hair in a bun, shorts, t shirt or vest, trainers. I think leather trainers would be too heavy so I recommend something like Nike Tanjun - very light, dries fast if it gets wet, goes with everything.
