Something like Stitch Fix in the UK?

Does anyone know if there is anything like this?
I need to streamline my wardrobe and have more things that suit me ( I'm quite good at getting rid of things that don't fit but bad at hanging on to things that don't suit) and that go with everything (also bad at working out what's multi purpose).
Would quite like something like this!

Hi, I was only looking this morning at how to get a whole new wardrobe and came across Stitch fix (and also your post). Such a brilliant idea, so I took a look and found Finery Fix. I filled out a few questions about my height, style, body shape etc and left it at that and received an email today from the company asking a bit more about me and about my budget. Mine is quite a low budget and I have no idea of what the service is like, but I might check out some reviews and if they're good, might give it a go!

Ooh I will have to check that out.

I have just had a look at John Lewis Style Edit which is not all that personalised (I think it is getting my sizes wrong for a start!) but my work dress code is somewhere between their Creative Workplace and their Casual so I am giving a few of their recommendations a go. It's not personalised really though.

But as I live nowhere near any decent shops and can't really spare a day at a time to go shopping, I've ordered some of their selections. Trying to declutter but several of the things I've ordered are like something I have and have worn to death, or something I have and should find useful but that just isn't right.

OK I've taken a deep breath and signed up - after getting 6 things recommended by JL and sending 5 of them back.

The stylist wants to know what I'm hoping to get out of it! I'm thinking hard but I'm not really sure. I guess maybe to fill in gaps in my wardrobe/make more things go together/replace things that should be multi purpose but are worn out or not quite right.

Oh that's great. I haven't replied to the stylist yet as I'm not quite sure they are within my budget but it will be really interesting to see how you get in. I tried the JL one too out of interest for ideas so might have a go at that one.

I picked the lowest budget for all three categories and I do generally buy in that range if I need something new, it's more that I don't normally buy loads at the same time (except I do, and then send them all back).

Hiya, just wondering what you thought of Alexandra's service? I was so excited at receiving my parcel. Some of the items were lovely and I have kept a few, but sent some back as the colours were a bit bland in colour. There were brands that I wouldn't generally think about and so it's really nice to know that there are more styles and brands out there that fit me that I wouldn't generally go for. Overall, I loved the idea and will definitely go for it again!

Haven't got it yet!

I'm new to the thread but wanted to ask if you ladies feel there is a need for a UK based version of stitch fix? I know some stores (like the aforementioned JL) do personal shopping of a sort, but hit n miss... Would anyone here sign up for such a service? Just exploring some business ideas (when my monkeys aren't squabbling!). Thanks in advance for any input x

Hiya, I'd never heard of anything like this before until I was just googling how to change my wardrobe and found Finery Fix which is actually UK based. I initially filled in a questionnaire about what I like, what Intend to wear, budget per item etc and was contacted by a lovely lady called Alexandra. My budget was quite low so I didn't expect anything to come of it but ended up paying £30 up front and then received a lovely bundle of 7 items of which I kept 3. I paid 10% on top of the cost of the items. It's definitely a great idea, I sent the items back for free as long as it was within 5 days. I am assuming the £30 is a one off and was considering asking for another bundle so yes, I would say it's definitely worth a go at trying to set up your own similar business.
