Really lovely?

I like the look of magic cream, primer and a lipstick. Very £££ though.

I just about died laughing at CT in HoF in the MetroCentre today. On the back of this thread I went to check it out, hunted all over the store and couldn't find it. Eventually asked one of the other makeup concessions, and she directed me to it with the words 'it's quite small, mind'. It was a teeny little unstaffed stand - maybe 2feet square with half a dozen mashed up lipsticks, a rather filthy highlighter palette, a tub of magic cream with no lid, and an empty perfume sampler. It was the most unattractive and unappealing thing in the store. No indication of what to do if you wanted to buy anything, as there was no stock. I guess Newcastle isn't ready for CT. So I spent my money elsewhere :)

I have a couple of lipsticks, they are nothing special and nothing Rimmel don't do at a fraction of the price. I can't speak for the other products.

I have the colour chameleon pencil in my basket on my John Lewis app. Does anyone have one? I have green eyes and am so tempted by the bronze garnet as bronze eye colours looks great on me but I want it to be fantastic for £19!

cherries there's a big, staffed counter at Fenwicks in Newcastle. I got my make up done there as a treat for my birthday (pressie) - the girls on counter were lovely and did a great job.

It's also reminded me that I bought the pressed face powder which is very good.

So there's a positive CT story!

i got a make over there last year and now only use their stuff. I think it is magic. My mum says I have never ever looked better (and she is highly critical!) I am planning on having another make over there for my birthday!

I got loads of compliments after too.

NumberWang I have that one and like it, but the Rimmel Scandaleyes pencil in 'Bad Bronze' is very similar and a fraction of the price.

I have two of the colour chameleon pencils and I have hazel eyes. I really like them: can be eyeliner or eyeshadow and look lovely either way.

Thanks flip I'll check that one out when I'm in Boots this week.

Thanks too start you're making me want to get the CT one and compare to Rimmel Grin

I've had the same baked bronze eyeshadow for ages that I bought from a random chemist and I've never seen it again anywhere so I'm panicking about what to replace it with when it runs out.

There's loads of bronze eyeshadows so you won't have any bother finding one!

If you really like the stick format and can afford it, can I recommend the Bobbi Brown shadow stick in golden bronze? You can't have mine though unless you prise it out of my cold, dead hands Wink.

I have a colour chameleon pencil in Smokey emerald and love it. I also have a few Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshadow pencils too though and agree that they are a pretty good alternative (I love them). I don't think they're as pigmented which you would maybe expect because they're quite a bit cheaper but they're really good value and they always seem to be bringing out new colours.
I got a Charlotte Tilbury voucher for Christmas so bought a few things, the eye pencils, a Beach Stick in formentera and the eyebrow pencil. I really like the eyebrow pencil and the colour chameleon as I've mentioned, but was a bit disappointed with the beach stick. It's a bit 'sticky' and doesn't have as dewy an effect as I'd hoped. I also got a set with mini mascara, primer and eye liner plus trial sizes of the Magic Cream. I wasn't that impressed with either of those - the packaging is lovely but everything is very highly perfumed and as someone else mentioned, there seems to be a lot of silicone in the primer (and I thought in the magic cream too?) which I don't like and my makeup didn't sit as well as it normally does after using it (I usually use a Becca primer). I do love the eyeshadow stick and eyebrow pencil and would like to try a few of the lipsticks but I do agree that a lot of it seems to be style over substance.

I have the CT Bronze Garnet pencil. It's Ok, but I've used better formulas. I find it can be a bit hard to blend out and sometimes goes patchy. It's better if I don't use primer, but then it can crease.

I think the CT brand has done some very clever social media marketing, probably including posters on message boards like this. Some of her products are good, however there are a lot of good makeup brands and CT isn't all that special. If you like it, buy it, but don't be fooled into thinking it's the best you can get because of the brand name.

For the poster looking for a new bronze eyeshadow, Mac's paintpot in Constructivist is a very similar shade to the CT shadow stick, it's cheaper and you don't lose any product by sharpening a wooden pencil. Laura Mercier's Burnished Bronze is also a similar shade but in a wind-up pencil. Otherwise if you'd prefer a powdered shadow, just about every brand does bronze eyeshadow!

I find her stuff very hit and miss. The Magic Cream was a standard moisturizer, the Night Cream is the worst night cream I've ever used, so heavy and greasy. I was gifted a dozen CT products, the only one that impressed me was the matte red lipstick.

I was a massive Sali Hughes fan. She started plugging Charlotte Tilbury so I bought a few of the shadow crayons.

They were dreadful - worse than basic high street stuff. They were nice for about 3 days then the product dried up, went on In a horrible patchy dragging way. The lids split and fell off. Cheap and shit.

I felt such a sucker and went right off Sali Hughes when I realised it was all a big marketing trick.

Everyone plugs Charlotte Tilbury because she sends freebies to everyone! Even a YouTuber I used to watch who only had 5000 subscribers received an entire CT lipstick range. She is excellent at marketing. I think most of the big Brit YouTubers consider her a personal friend because of all the attention she gives them!

I went through a pot of magic cream last year. It was ok but nothing a cheaper rich night cream couldn't do (I prefer eminence coconut cream which is organic and 1/4 of the price). Her mascara isn't anything special but I have just ordered 2 lipsticks. 3 days after ordering I get an email saying they were nearly ready to ship. I live in the world of amazon prime, if I can have my order delivered by the time I snap my fingers, I'm irritated already....

They opened a beautiful counter at the big department store where I am, it has all lights and I went over for a look.
the girl came over, I asked her how much the foundation was and she said 'oh you get this foundation and this little brush for €99, isn't that great value?'

No words came out I just was there, looking out through my mouth.
€99!!!

I have been avoiding the counter ever since. That is way too expensive for me. Is it all that dear?

I bought the Magic Cream when it first came out and cant say its anything special and certainly wouldnt buy it again at £70. It didnt give the sheen thats shown on the demo. I love the packaging though.

I was a bit meh.
Loved the wonderglow and supermodel body. Eyeliner ok. Nude lipsticks are not right shade for me so end up with peach grease sitting in lip creases. Red carpet red is fab though.

Foundation doesn't last on me and just doesn't go on well enough to justify price. Magic creams smell amazing but made my eyes water (not just price!)
I bought into hype but won't spend again. Think she's wonderfully bonkers and a tonic to trump though!

I've looked for and bought other bronze eyeshadows but they're quite 'right'.
Either too wishy, washy or not quite the right shade of bronze Grin

I'm going to check out all the recommendations people have kindly made, still dithering over the CT one though. I was like this with the Laura Geller baked foundation, bought it and hate it so I have form for coveting a product and then wondering why I ever did Confused

There was a thread about the bronzed garnet eye colour recently and I was v impressed and wanted to try it for me greeny-grey eyes... but I'm trying to save cash. So popped into local Superdug asnd found a very similar coloured MUA eyeshadow called copper, for £1.

Obviously not the same thing, but good enough for now. CT stuff looks nice and it's something I might look at on a day out shopping when feeling flush, but I don't think it's necessarily as great as the hype suggests.

The MuA one is very nice BTW!

Has anyone tried her bronzer? I've just smashed mine and I'm in the market for a new one.
