Life must be so much simpler with straight hair.

What must that be like, I wonder? To wake up with your hair looking pretty much the way it did when you went to sleep, rather than having reconstructed itself into an interesting and artistic tribute to birds nests and haystacks? To not have to start every day by attempting to wrestle it into submission? To just be able to brush it and...and...go?

What do you even do with all that spare time? I think I'd take up a hobby.

Can't believe so many straight hair ladies have fast drying hair! If I don't spend 30 mins with the hairdryer, it takes a whole day and evening :(

My hair is not straight or curly and it drives me mad. I have had Brazilian Blow Drys in the past and can highly recommend. Wash, blow dry, brush through and go! Amazing. Slightly jealous of my dd who has just had her first one and is loving it! Also much better for your hair than straightening every day. I'm off to book in my next appointment.

My hair is fairly thick and can take 4/5 hours to dry completely. It's the reason I tend to wash it early evening where possible. If it's still damp at bedtime I roll it into a bun so it's a bit wavy in the morning. The waves generally stop out fairly quickly though.

I have had mine cut shorter recently (still just long enough to tie back. I can't embrace my curls. I wouldn't want straight hair either though if I am honest. Same here about it taking all night to dry, only underneath now though since my cut.

I do think that you can make your hair easier to manage and find something that works for you. I buy naice shampoo, conditioner and products but I only wash my hair every fourth day so the cost is actually fairly small because they last for ages.

If I didn't use the right stuff for my hair it would be very thick, massively frizzy, very tight curls (but not uniform curls) and would look horrid. I know that because it took me ten years to work it out!

I would hate to do my job (senior role meeting lots of very business like folk) with curly frizzy hair.

So I invest 30 mins drying it every time I wash it and then do nothing but brush it until I wash it again. When I first started drying it straighteners didn't exist, crimpers did though Grin.

I have pretty straight, fine hair but I still have to wash it or completely soak it and restyle it every morning because it takes on the shape of the pillow overnight! But it does dry very quickly so it's not a massive problem.

I would love magic hair that holds a style and always looks amazing.

Can one not suceed in business with curly hair? Hmm

BarchesterFlowers · 12/02/2017 21:11

I am sure you can forever, if you like your curly hair that is, I don't particularly like mine and prefer the look I wear.

Hmm
