Silk Pillowcases

Are they really magic? Will they make my frizzy hair sleek, will it stop me becoming wrinkled of face?
If so please point me in the direction of the most recommended brand or seller? I rarely sleep (glares at children) but when I do I wake up looking like I've been dragged through a hedge backward and with a crumpled visage.

I'm interested in how they benefit you. My eczema is playing up at the moment, as it does in the winter and my skin especially my face is a dry as anything.. I also have frizzy hair though do wash it everyday.

I can only imagine how nice it is to sleep on. We have a silk duvet and it is sublime

I had a SilkSkin one years ago and didn't rate it. It wrinkled something terrible, damaged and stained easily. It was also not very silky, if you see what I mean!

I bought 4 super cheap satin pillowcases on ebay from some random seller and they have been fab. They stay "silky" for want of a better expression! Never have any lines on my face in the am and my hair is good.

Ooh I feel like my face would slide off my pillow. But I'd like to try!

Oh no, wait... I think I'm thinking of satin. Never mind Blush

Mine has arrived - Lovely quality (and only £11 something from an ebay shop). Been meaning to do this for yonks so thanks for putting me on to Jasmine Silks OP.

Had a Silk Skin one a couple of years ago, but it went mouldy in the washing basket Sad my fault for forgetting it was in there!

(I guess the fact I forgot it was there shows it didn't really make a difference for me...)

I'm shocked at these prices!! I paid £45 for mine! Sad I honestly can't say I've noticed any difference in hair or skin either.

Oldraver, I can't say I ever noticed a difference in my hair when sleeping on a silk pillowcase, but it made a huge difference to my comfort when I had painful dermatitis. So much softer than cotton.

Mine are from Patra. Expensive, but very, very nice. I had them for birthday presents for several years. They can be washed in a regular easy-care load (with non-bio detergent), but I think they do better washed in specialist detergent or in liquid soap flakes with no conditioner. The liquid soap flakes are so much easier on my skin, too.

They need to be ironed - makes them soooooo soft and smooth.

Well I remembered a pair of silk boxers I bought OH that he has never worn...they only fit over half the pillow though Grin

Grin well if his skin isn't going to benefit, yours might as well!
