eBay says my ugg boots are fake!

About 5 years ago I bought some ugg boots online. I only ended up wearing them about 3 times and decided they didn't really suit me.

I've recently been putting some bits on eBay and had been intending to list the uggs for a long time and finally did. They were only on there for about 10 hours (already had 1 bid) and then were removed by eBay. I spoke to them to ask why and they said in their opinion they are fake. They said in order to list them I'd need them certified by someone who works at an outlet that sells them.

I cannot remember the detail from when I bought them as its a while ago now but I know for sure I would have made sure they were genuine as I know how many fakes are around. I kept the certificate they came with and included it in a photo in my listing too. I'm pretty sure I would have checked I was on the genuine ugg website when ordering.

They seem to fit with all of the real vs fake checks that I have done online. Has anyone got any advice on how to go about selling? I'm not sure how much a person in a shop would be wanting to help me to authenticate them to be honest and I'm really annoyed as I was hopeful they would do well and instead they have just been removed!

I did an email search and didn't find anything but it was about 5 years ago maybe that I got them so I probably deleted any that I got. I did consider contacting ugg to see if they could help me trace an order but I doubt they'd be too interested in helping me to find out.

Thanks for uploading the pics of yours allstarted, I can see the difference. The souls on mine don't seem so flexible. So annoying that I did what I thought was best to make sure they weren't fake and that's what I seem to have ended up with!

They look fake to me too , I used to wear uggs all the time a few years ago and have loads of pairs . ..... also those well worn ones can be washed if the poster is interested . Would come up a treat !! Smile

How much did you pay for them OP? That's what will tell you if they are fake .

I can't remember because it was so long ago now but I think around £150.

I can see exactly what people are saying about the way they look. I'm just so shocked due to remembering to make sure it was a legitimate website. I guess somehow, it wasn't.

I never had any experience of uggs before that, and none since actually, so I suppose I just trusted my source.

I bought a pair just like that a few months ago. Before they arrived ebay contacted me to say there were likely to be fake, Sure enough when they arrived they were a different shape/fabric to my other 3 genuine pairs. Soles and labels looked very similar though. Seller refunded
