Hello, can you offer some advice. I am not a girly girl and haven't bothered with make up or hair cuts for some time.
As part of my new years resolution I am sorting myself out, I have had enough of feeling rough! So far I have had my hair cut off and some balayage done, see pics.
Next on the list is to sort out my make up and clothing, I haven't bought any new clothes or make up for around 6 years!! If I post a picture of my shape can you offer some suggestions to the best kind of clothing for me?
What other things do I need to do? Eyebrows/nails?

I think lash tint can sometimes not show up very well- a great mascara is usually a better option! However, I totally disagree with previous poster saying brow tints look crap, they're a total game changer for fair, mid or sparse brows.

Your brow shape looks lovely by the way- maybe treat yourself to a brown powder to infill. A good budget one that's great is the Rimmel brow duo, posh one I like Bobbi Brow Brow Gel. Your skin seems pretty even so you may get away with just a simple mineral powder instead of a proper foundation which is dead easy to do and very natural looking.

I'm a bit older than you, but have recently started following a couple of really good style blogs myfashionableforties & littlefashioncloset. They are heavily into neutral capsule wardrobes, with not too many key pieces that they mix & match very stylishly.

Make up wise, I'd go for a really good quality foundation. I love Chanel Vitalumiere, which is very sheer and light. 'Boy' by Chanel is a very easy, pretty pink lippy which flatters everyone.

I always use Ren Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser, which is gentle and smells heavenly.

Lastly, I shower every day using exfoliating gloves rather than a sponge. Then while skin is still damp I always apply body lotion, so skin is always soft and smooth.

I definitely need to address my skin, I have awful black heads and open pores on my nose and get horrific painful hormonal spots on my chin. I didn't used to clean my face before bed though so I'm hoping that will clear.
I used a bb cream yesterday, that looked good and didn't feel to heavy on my face. Going to pop to m and s today, will post a pic of any purchases!!

Your hair looks great ! I don't know if it's been recommended but try starting with tinted moisturiser. Foundation can be quite 'heavy' and may out u off if u start off the bat with it. Tinted moisturiser, mascara, lippie. Then progress from there.

You can buy exfoliating gloves, dirt cheap, from loads of places. I buy a new pair every few weeks, or so. And any body lotion will do, what's important is to use it daily and to apply while skin is still damp, because it sort of locks in the moisture.

Not cleaning your face before bed is one of the seven deadly beauty sins! I bet your spots will clear up once you do start cleansing. And then you can start down the Proper Serious Skincare rabbit hole. See any of the old threads on here, there's a ton of brilliant advice.

It seems like skincare is a pretty huge subject to get into, I've made a Start though.
I went into a few shops today, tried some things on and felt totally crap about how everything looked. Definitely going to dedicate some time tonight to going through those links about dressing for your shape.

Your hair looks amazing, and I don't know if you even need to do anything to your brows!

Brittany Bathgate is a good grown up fashion blogger - she has a nice minimal style, not girly or princessy.
