Be honest: what should I do?

I am massively unphotogenic so ignore the bonkers look on my face.

What do you think I should do to look better? Skin, make up, hair: but no fillers or surgery.

There's a thread about getting the best out of your curls on here -google Curly Girl Method.
I agree - great skin!

HateSummer · 08/01/2017 22:39

I think you look lovely too. You have nice skin. Are you a teacher? You look very approachable 😊

I think maybe something to defrizz your hair and calm it but not completely, because I think your big hair is maybe indicative of your personality?
You could try Eye make up, it would quite nice.

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 08/01/2017 22:40

I think you look fab. I love that your curls look natural and not over messed with. And you look happy.
Don't do anything to yourself that makes you smile less. You can't offset the loss of a smile with fancy hair treatments or expensive make up.

mogloveseggs · 08/01/2017 22:43

You have a lovely kind face Smile

aintnobodygottimefodat · 08/01/2017 22:44

You look lovely.

Your skin and hair look amazing and you've a friendly, radiant smile Smile

Keep doing whatever you're doing.

Eevee77 · 08/01/2017 22:45

Yes, tame your hair a little but you look lovely

badtasteflump · 08/01/2017 23:14

You have a lovely face but I really want to get my hands on your hair (I am a hairdresser).

If you were my client I would advise breaking up the 'block' of blonde hair dye with some hi lights & low lights to make it look more natural and glossy. You could also do with some good conditioning products to get rid of the frizz and give some shine and definition to your wavy hair.

I agree with giving the Curly Girl method a go btw Smile

tigerdriverII · 08/01/2017 23:16

Flowers all of you. I was expecting quite a different response!

Taking it all on board. Interesting, DS (14) commented that people always talk to us when we're out and about.

Your hair is great. It looks like it would feel nice.

Freeatlast2017 · 09/01/2017 03:54

You could try that choppy loose waves look on your hair (I saw a YouTube video) or straighten but I would only bother on special occasions.

PollyPerky · 09/01/2017 08:29

If that's your own hair colour I'd stick with it, but imo I'd say go ever so slightly warmer with honey tones as lowlights.

Being really blunt, your skin looks quite pink so are you using the right colour base? I also think your hair is taking over! You've got good skin but all I see from the photo is this mass of hair. Maybe have 2-3 inches off the length, consider more of a fringe (still with side parting) and blow dry so it's not so frizzy.

WorldsSmallestPatio · 09/01/2017 08:41

You look great! A cheerful face is not to be sniffed at Smile

Have you tried tightlining? Where you put eyeliner on the inside of the eyelid at the top - it makes it look like you have more lashes and a more defined eye. I think a brown or a dark green would suit.

lurkingfromhome · 09/01/2017 09:31

Your skin is utterly beautiful. I think your hair would benefit from being sleeker (i absolutely empathise as my hair is Frizz City and I feel a billion times better about myself when it is properly tamed). Also I'm not sure about going brunette but I do think you need a warmer colour. I'd go and talk to a good hair colourist and see what they think about all-over tint with maybe a few highlights to frame your face.

BusterGonad · 10/01/2017 11:38

Op you do look lovely, you look like the type of person who likes a laugh over a glass of wine. I would listen to the hairdressers in regards to your hair and with your features either really zing your eyes with jewel colour eyeshadows or knock em dead with a bold lippy. You look gorgeous anyway though.

imjessie · 10/01/2017 12:54

Your hair needs product and to be darker I think , maybe balayage ? It's too over processed . Make up , maybe bb cream and some mascara ?

imjessie · 10/01/2017 12:55

My hair looks like yours without product. You have curls under there!!

tigerdriverII · 15/01/2017 20:54

Hello all.

Just wanted to thank you for your great ideas. What a boost! I've had a really good look at make up and hair.

Hair not changed in this picture but I've done my eyes as suggested. Hair's next!

Be honest: what should I do?

You are looking lovely op and your hair is looking smoother too. Great picture.

AvacadoSalad · 17/01/2017 19:44

You look lovely! You don't crazy or bonkers; rather, very friendly and approachable!

tigerdriverII · 28/02/2017 00:01

Bit of an update: thank you all for the ideas. Make up has faded a bit this evening but I'm very pleased with the progress. And the "how old am I" website is giving me 9 years: result!

Be honest: what should I do?

Highlights and lowlights to break up the colour, It looks to warm for you. But I envy how much you have! I prefer the last photo without heavy eye make up - some eyeliner and good mascara, maybe brown, for some definition would be good though. You have a lovely face you just want to enhance it Smile

Milliemillie · 28/02/2017 06:26

I think you look lovely.

If anything maybe add warmth to your hair colour, not much but a bit of caramel maybe.
Good luck you lucky thing!

Eastwestbestrest · 28/02/2017 09:18

You look lovely! You have such a nice face.

I would go with the following:

Brunette hair (get it done by a hairdresser first and top it up at home as necessary)

Morrocan Oil on hair

Babyliss Big Hair for when you want to look more polished

Mineral makeup foundation (Lily Lolo is good and not too expensive)

Define your eyes with soft eyeliner and mascara

But really you look just lovely as you are - I'd never suggest that you change a thing if you hadn't asked specifically for suggestions.
